Despite the reviews, what do you think? Can it handle 3 accounts at the same time without melting lol? |

You will have to turn the settings way down with the integrated graphics for 3 clients (depending on how you deal with FPS dips). With a OC'd 3930k, 16GB, and a GTX 580 3GB I have to start turning settings down after 3 clients to hold 60 FPS on all of them.
Also, keep in mind since the GPU is on-die there is going to be extra heat generated from the processor, this will put you into a throttled state quicker and possibly cause it to overheat and shutdown since that computer is not built with the expectation of running multiple 3d accelerated applications. With the IGPU get a cooling mat so the processor doesn't start throttling while you play. Another thing you should be aware of is that the GPU is going to be using your system RAM, with 3 clients open (again Max settings) I am sitting at 2.2GB of VRAM usage, this is going to cut into the RAM available to the OS. I'm guessing here but you should probably expect 768mb-1gb of RAM usage with lowest settings on 3 clients. Really you should get something with a dedicated card if you plan on running more than 2 clients. Sure, EVE is such a light weight game that you can probably get away with it but the experience is not going to be optimal. |

Are you done wasting our time yet? You started out by saying you only needed to run 2 clients, got some good recommendations.
Then you go buy the worlds *worst* integrated video HD4000, which is definitely non-gaming vid card. The I5 CPU is as fast as the A10 I linked you, the HD4000, is HALF the speed of the integrated A10 HD Radeon 7660G (ala passmark.com), and was cheaper than the one you bought.
Now you want to run Three to Four clients, and you still don't want discrete graphics?
Go away now please.

I like that better than the aspire posted earlier. These days 8gb of ram is a must especially for chrome users. I don't know much about the AMD processor lineup, but the processor doesn't matter that much for gaming. The better video card will help with rendering multiple clients in windowed mode. Check the HDD speed on that (7200 rpm is your minimum) and also if it has an option to install an ssd. Having eve on an ssd will help with alt-tabbing between windows in full screen.
As for minimum amount of ram, think of it as 2GB per client + 2GB for system. So 4GB for 1 client, 6GB for 2 clients, 8GB for three clients, and so on. I hate to disagree with you,-ábut there is nothing subjective about "boring" in connection to "mining". -á-á-á-á -- Solstice Project's Alt |
