Originally by: Xhalen Toth It seems the problem lies with the COSMOS missions applying the approriate increases, I recently completed two important missions for the Caldari(KK) and received the appropriate increases to all applicable factions.

I am not sure if are cosmos missions only. After i finish caldari and amarr cosmos missions i start doing normal lvl4 courier missions for a caldari corporation. After 16 missions i got my 1st caldari faction mission.Yesterday to be specific.Finish the faction mission with suxess and got 6.2% gain boost from caldari. But no gain from amarr even as i said many times, the modification is shown at show transactions. My amarr standing is the same as it was before that faction mission. So maybe those that did cosmos missions for two friendly factions in a strange way bug their standings for ever,as u can see from the above example, the problem continues while i start doin normal missions.

My last important missions for Minmatar havent given any. So its not just related to cosmos, unless, maybe cosmos missions might break something.

since rmr i have hardly done a storyline mission... much less the added rmr missions. I find they are designed to gimp your faction standings as they cause you to lose 0.8% standing per 15 minutes it takes you to gun down the "enemy" faction without giving you any faction standing with the faction you are working for...
so ... faction standing loss without the gain - no thanks. . -Fate is what you make of it. -Make your own fate using T2 items produced by The Fated

What makes it worse is that you can decline such a mission and then next mission is the same mission again. Then you have to wait 4 hours before you can decline again. You shouldnt be able to decline mission after mission just like that, because then you could just end up select the good missions, however, the same mission shouldnt be offered several times in a row either. Would have been better if agents could give a choice of 3 missions or something. Anyways it should be looked into...

Anyone know if there's been any movement on this yet? I'm still showing a whole stack of derived gallente increases from minnie cosmos missions but not one iota change in actual factional standing

I just hope, they can patch that soon, no point in doing storylines when I don't get positive derived modifications and never a point in doing the latest missions as I hate loosing faction standing with empire factions at that rate.
fix Interbus Missions - don't remove them |

Hansu Turu (Ishisomo)-Caldari Fara Bohk (Lanngisi) -Minmatar
The problem also exists with these agents.
Although mentioned a long time ago, this is listed as a known issue since Blood came out and people have been having problems since.I am not going to do any more missions until this is fixed. These storyline cosmos agents can only be done once and its pointless doing them when they dont give their proper standing increase.

does this apply to ennemies faction too? cause i wouldn't mind not getting derived modification for friends of the faction if i wouldn't get derived modifications from their ennemies either
this would allow to increase faction standings with all 4 empires without negative side effect

Unfortunately, unless this is fixed and all previous derived standings missions are updated, the damage has already been done for me. I have missed out on tonnes of derived standings because of this.
Carlsberg dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them.

Was hoping that some nice person from Eve-officialdom might backdate any correction for missions already completed, but just to be on the safe side I think I'll leave the last few minnie cosmos agents alone for now.

It's still bugged and I can confirm it with Amarr agents giving a derived modification to Caldari. My charatcer has been stuck at 7.0 Caldari and not budged and gotten about 70% in derived standings increase.
All this has been done after the latest Kali (Revelations) patch

Assuming this is what I think it is, it is something I assumed was intentional when I discovered it. Here's my theory- whether if it's a bug, it will help understand what is up, if it's not, well then people know the limits. This is with the limited data points of my own standings, so others can confirm or deny my conclusions with their data:
You can't raise the standing of a "friendly" faction above their modifier normalized. By normalized, I mean if you get 70% boost to Caldari standings that you do to Amarr from running a given mission for an Amarr storyline agent, you can't raise caldari above 7.0. Thus, in the case of the OP, running those Amarr missions won't increase their standings beyond 7.0. As they are at 7.61, they are not going up. Since most factions are aligned similarly to amarr and caldari, they probably already maxed many others relative to where amarr can take them (i.e. mordus almost certainly) getting caldari to 7.61.
The main practical effects here, are that you need to run missions for a specific faction to increase their standing above a certain level. Being friendly to the Amarr empire will only get you so far with the Caldari before you need to work with them directly. The "endgame" of highsec cosmos mission running- the ship offers that require 9+ to get- are therefore only available for working with the specific faction.

dervived standings is capped.
if you look at the Amarr faction info, and goto the standings tab, then open the "liked by" tab, you will see Caldari State is +7.00
This means that derived standing increases will do nothing once it reaches 7.00

I just did a level 4 combat storyline for The Scope (Gallente) and got a 43.75% corp rise. Maybe this is normal but it seems a lot when I have been getting 25% rises for a different corp. I think 43.75% is the same as 25% applied twice?
My Gallente rise was 8.75% which is normal and my Caldari fall was -4.375% which is also normal.

Well I got this bug this time last year, i call it the cosmos bug... I got to 6.70 in amarr standing, then i head over to caldari and do there cosmos mission, and my caldari stand just headed up and up but the ammar just stay there loseing about 15%-20% of standing...I did send an bug report, and 2 weeks later it was down as a bug that was found... I guess the bug as not been fixed as yet...as I mainly do mission in ammar space for 2 years..... the caldari still like me more than the ammarians now that werid...never did any mission for them only the cosmos... so go and figure that out... I know general story line are working find...

i have heared that derevated standing is toped. lets say caldary has 6.0 standing with amarr, than doing missions for amarr will never give you more than 6.0 caldari standing (sorry, not ingame atm, so can't check the real standing - 6.0 is just a guess) same goes for negativ standing. doing missions for amarr will never drop you below -9.0 sansha standing (well, not counted faction changes through ship kills)

Yes, that's the way it always been and is now, don't understand why people talking about bugs here. I have a caldari standing of 9.xx, amarr went up through derived modification to 6 (or 5, dont remember well), and then stopped raising. Same with other factions (jove, khanid, ammatar, mordus etc.), they went to the point how much they like caldari state and don't go further. If you look on them, you see everytime a derived modification note, but this has no effect, they won't go further then the "liked by" value. That's not a bug, thats normal game mechanics.
