I'm currently learning Electronics V specifically so I can put a cloaking device on my mammoth.
My question is, how long do you think the capacitor will last with it on? I have three cap recharger I's on there at the moment in hopes that they will be able to keep up with the power drain, but I would like to get an expert opinion.

Cloaks do not use capacitor... =)

Just keep in mind the speed penalties. Cloaking an industrial is not a bad idea, but it isn't an instant escape.

Aint that the truth I used mine for a run into 0.0 space and got pwnd at the first gate camp I came across ..... yeah I know it was a silly thing to do ..... NOW !!!!!

With an improved cloak II on (~10-20m isk) you'll move 27.5 m/sec. While this isn't factoring in navigation skills, its also not factoring in the speed penalty on expanded cargo holds. If they move within 2000m of you it will decloak you, since you're practically stationary with it on a smart pirate is going to have no trouble doing this.

It is definately worth fitting a cloak for travelling in 0.0. Speed penalty aside, if you need to safespot with hostiles in system, it will ensure they don't find you with scan probes.
Also, cloaking immediately upon encountering hostiles at a gate can often save your bacon simply by giving you time to align for warp. If you are using WCS and nanos as opposed to expanders (which you should be if traveling solo in 0.0) you should make it in to warp.
