I don't agree with the OP, but there are some aspects of multi-boxing I don't like. The main one is how people use multiple characters to escape the consequences of their actions. For instance, while I think scamming, corp theft and espionage have all always been a common part of EvE, being able to sell off your characters and buy new ones and escape the consequences, the stain on your reputation, is deplorable.
The other issue is that multiple characters means that while you might suffer at the hands of a person in the morning, you might unknowingly help him out in the evening in a different region (e.g. high sec) under a different name.
As for the increased ability of multiboxing to make isk, I don't take issue with that. |

I think what I said was that EVE popularity is a overblown figure and that less people actually pay more of the bills.
Hell some one else pays my bills. I don't know who, but it lets me run three accounts.
I'm pulling numbers out of my ass but I can safely assure you that the actual number of people who play eve is less than their advertised numbers.

So let's say CCP forbid multiboxing..
How can I, for example, move a jump freighter or a capital ship around if I don't have any cyno alts available? Let's say I do this in AUTZ on Sunday since that's the only time I have available towards eve and none of my corp-mates or friends are online? That's just one issue out of many that I have against playing "solo"
I mean my goodness, Power of Two is offered by CCP, they support creating alt characters because it makes them money. |

I would like to point out that yesterday amazon did that 99 cent sale and with a buddy invite you could make a 51 day account with a cerebral accelerator for 0.99 cents..
I literally spent half the day setting up 80 gank alt accounts..
i figure in 51 days i can make 3 toons on each and completely destroy there sec status and then as I build spare isk reactivate and train up each one and sell it..
MORE ALTS..

I'm curious at the massive advantage this is supposed to give me. i seem to be very poor at it, whatever it is, as i sub both my accounts.
it's an indulgence, really. with dual training and the mobile depot it's really unnecessary to run multiple accounts, unless you need cyno alts.
even then, do you really need a carrier/jump freighter/blops? you can usually find other people who have those things if you do.
