Mjeh	Posted - 2006.03.01 14:33:00 - [1] Hi, I currently fly a Raven which I use in missions. Now, lately I've been playing with the thought of bringing in a second battleship in my missioning to speed things up a bit, and to make the whole experience a bit less risky. The job of this second battleship would really only be to deliver extra DPS, but it should naturally also be able to tank enough damage as to allow good time for warping out should the need arise. I've always been kind of wanting to try out the apocalypse, would this be a good choice? Or maybe I should just go for a second Raven?

But depending on what missions you're doing they should both be able to tank for a good while

BC's have lots of bonuses for this sort of thing and combined with a few of the newer types of drones it would be an interesting setup. Dunno if anyone has tried this yet if it is viable. Worth a cr3ck methinks :) Opy

Shuttlemaster	Posted - 2006.03.01 23:34:00 - [10] Id definatly use a Domi, it compliments the Raven perfectly with superb tank and Drones to take care of ceptors and friggs that Is Ravens biggest problem. Only drawback is that drones require a certain amount of micromanagement. In my oppinion Domi is actually a better mission ship than the raven due to the Ravens inability to keep cap up for extended periods with a good tank

You have 8 shield tanking mid slots. You then put 5 PDS 2's in the lows and you will be tanking for a while.

Offense (guns) in the high slots with maybe a cap transfer or shield transfer too, an emergency repper down low with some damage mods and maybe some tracking and relays. Or ditch the damage mods for more relays if you plan on using the cap/shield xfers more. Webber and CPRs in the mids. Then the kicker - heavy repair drones. If you're going with the Domi, then you can fit the repair drones and have combat and utility drones in the bay as well. It will keep your Raven's tank going (like a free cap injector and shield booster), and depending on what gun layout it can provide fire support at whatever ranges.

Domi would be a great second BS, because it is easy to afk and tank, while your drones do most of the work. And with the Heavy Armor or Shield Bots (Drones) your tank with be rock solid and mission will be a breeze. Regards,
Filan	Posted - 2006.03.02 03:08:00 - [14] Battlecruiser can make a good wingman imo. they infact can get higher resists then a battleship with time spent into learning BC skill levels. with a good shield extender and hardener setup even if badly agroed it could escape(atleast against things not doing thermal as a primary, but with an invul and explosive for example Angel battleships dont even really dent it with the torps). PRIMARY - Raven 6x Siege 2x Med shield Trans 1x Large Shield 3x Hardners 1x Amp 1x Web 4x PDU 1x BCU (MED shield Maintence drones) SECONDARY - Raven 6x Light Missiles 2x Med Shield Trans 1x XL Shield Booster 1x Em Hardner 3x Cap Recharger 1x Web 4x Cap Rechargers (Med Shield Drones) THis works a treat, the main raven tanks and does the damage to cruisers and battleships, etc. The secondary raven takes out frigates and then cruisers. Both Bs's can help boost the other shield if needed via shield transporters and shield maintence drones. So you have no range issues to worry about, uber shield tanks, can hit all types of npc's from drones to bs's.

VaderDSL	Posted - 2006.03.14 17:52:00 - [19] In big missions, like Worlds Collide, I run: 4 Cruise Launchers 4 Medium S95A Partial Shield Transporters (192 Shields for around 94Cap or thereabouts) 5 F-B10 Cap Rechargers 1 Phased Navigation Target Painter 5 Cap Relays I go in after the aggro, and stick 4 Shield Transfers on who ever has the aggro, can hold most stages of everything aggroing. However today got down to 15% armour on Enemies Abound when I was tagetted by the entire 1st stage
