Despite setbacks on patch day, everybody that is complaining will still be back to play Eve when it is up. IMO, still the king of MMORPG's. Thanks CCP.

I'm still waiting to find that out, myself... Just signed up last night (err... i guess it's this morning in GMT) and got part-way through the tutorial before falling asleep. Then, this morning i can't log in only to realize that i have to get a patch. 
(Not complaining, just thought it was kind of ironic.)
Only MMO i've played is WoW  but the more I read about Eve, the more I think this is the kind of experience I would want... Still to soon to know for sure, though...

Just don't expect to make a uber LVL-60-ish char in a week like is possible in WoW, and you'll do fine. EVE is a patience game. Until like your first 3mil SP, then it's all fun n games.

Welcome to EVE Vash, I'm sure you'll find the game deeper and more complex than any MMOG in existence. As for the expansion, they're all completely free, and there'll be plenty more where this came from

I have to give you a big fat LOL to that... It took me from Jan 5 to Dec 19 last year to get my first 60 and that's with playing pretty much every single day.
See, I spent most of my time doing the kinds of things that this game seems to require (from what i've read): economics (playing the auction house), social activities (guilds and such), etc.

Yep, but unstead of some well know mmog, you don't need to be lv 40+ to enjoy this game, a frigate with some module to help your friend or hauling ore in belt is enough in less than 4 days to be usefull for any corporation.
