Out of ignorance I thought that I would go for AFs as my first post frigate ship. However, I'm finding that it is impossible to use my 200mms on Angel vipers (inties) because they orbit at 9K and web. This is taking place in deadspace, so no MWD.
Missions are awfully boring with 280s on my wolf.
Is it time to give up?
I have
Trajectory Analysis IV
Sharpshooter IV
Assault Frig IV
and I'm using Barrage S and Tracking enhancer II
I'm not going to train any more fives just to hit an inty.

Yeah, the webbing back slows them down, but with their MWD, they are still going 400 and I'm going 100m/s.
Arties work just fine, it's just that they are labourous to use and really take the fun out of flying the wolf. I might as well by in a sniper ship if that's the case.

Thanks, I had the tracking enhancer for the 15% range bonus as my total range is 8500 with proton S or 75 with Barrage S.
So, for NPCs, once the MWD is off they don't turn it back on?
And this is definitely possible and won't take too long?

Well, I was using quickfit because my wolf is currently many systems away while I'm doing some couriers during patch day. I don't recall my numbers being that high, but I'll have to see what they say over the weekend.
