I was logged in after patch, all the sudden my ship stops and i cant do anything, logged out... Whe i'm at char screen and select my guy it starts loading, then just says "failed". Anyone else have this problem?

Holt crap, guess alot of ppl are having this problem... I tried makin a new guy the loggin on and it worked. Then go back to my main and keeps saying "failed" lol! Fix this CCP!

Same thing happened to me about 10 minutes ago. The strange thing is that I can log on with my newbie alt (this character), but not with my main. I was in Niyabien (sp?)...seems like maybe it's a Caldari thing.

i was able to logon earlier with my prime, then logged out and couldn't log back in
i tried logging on with an alt and i got in fine after a couple of tries
logged out, still can't logon with my prime
logon status bar fills up, the fails back to character selection screen
i *suspect* this is a server side issue, not a client issue
of course, make sure you have updated\disabled your firewall rules to accomodate the "new" exe

I was in Perimeter when my ship stopped dead at the gate to Urlen. Waited for a while, then logged and now I can't get back in! I get the Failed notice too  GM said they can't move ppl to different systems atm, and try petition again in an hour

me to cant log in on main in Kisogo also apparently Kisogo and jita are down all gates broken and CCP made a message ingame about them fixin the gates etc. I think its because of all new bllodlines newly made chars in thousands in those systems...

Just started happening to me after working fine all day.
I was docked in Jita and suddenly all new windows would get stuck on 'loading' indicator. Nobody could hear me in chat although I could still hear everyone else.
Relogged to try and fix it and now after character select I get 'failed'.

The online population is declining in the game. Since this problem started for me it has dropped from 10,400 people online to 10,095.
Just a little tidbit to pass along while we all attempt to get back into the game.

Same here. I activated the trial version yesterday at 16:30 GMT. I couldn't log in because it was still patching. Finally, at 18:00 GMT I managed to get on, created a character, but then all of a sudden during the character creation, everything is stuck. So I quit and start over. Then during the first steps of the tutorial, everything's stuck again. When I restart the client, all my damn skills are gone. So I created a new character. While I was going through the first steps of the tutorial again with that one, a message popped up that the cluster had to be shut down for a short amount of time. That was 18:40 GMT.
Finally at 21:20 GMT I was able to log in again. At last I could play. Near 22:30 GMT, I was just dragging the newbie gate access key from the newbie pirate's cargo hold into mine, but when I release the mouse button, I suddenly find myself on my desktop with a message box reading "Connection to server lost". After that I couldn't get in anymore, so at midnight I went to sleep, and now it's still not working! Great! There go the first 2 days of the trial. 
Edit: oh and I was in Kisogo yeah.

I'm fairly new the EVE. I gather there's some historical precedence for this type of thing (problems after a patch)?

I've been having this all day myself. When I do get in I start mining then notice my ship no longer responds. I've been hanging out mining in Maurasi for a while now. Really I'm in the same boat as others - I just need to switch skills! Oh well, whaddya gonna do.
I nuked the security program I was using, uninstalled the game, downloaded the full client again as opposed to patching, shut down bit torrent and same result. At least I know it's not me now.

Could you please have someone who knows about this situation at least say something about what is going on with this and if there is any chance of it being fixed in the near future.
When this first started happening to me it took me about 5 - 10 minutes of constant retrying to get back into the game. I had almost gotten away from the affected area when I got stuck again. It took me an hour of trying over and over to get back in but I got stuck at the stargate. Now I am starting this all over again with the hopes of getting out of the affected are this time...

had the problem to log to my main character who just happend to be in Jita. was able to login just 5 min ago, so i set rout to leave caldari space, but didnt get far. at the jumpgate i got no responds. loged off and now its failing again.

Same as you: I'm down for the count in New Caldari. At a wild guess it looks like the entire Kimotoro constellation got sucked into a black hole (or could it be the second opening of Eve?).

Don't count on it. I was able to re-enter 4 times I think it was and each time it took longer to get back into the game after it froze/stuck. I am finally away from the area, so it is possible. (Though my quick run to Jita to buy some ship equipment took over 2 hours.)
Anyways, I have gotten away. Yipee!!!
My advice to those still having this problem - get away from Jita/Perimeter as quickly as you can if you want to be able to play until this is fixed. (I understand it is also affecting other areas. I only experianced it in Jita and Perimeter. Once I finally made the jump to Ikuchi I knew I had gotten away. )

I got a succesfull login first time to day, I was docked in Jita. Some windows were unable to load, so I decided to relog. And now can't log back in, it just loads and then dumps me back to the character selection screen.... Time to get away from Jita me thinks...

Guys, it might help them debug it if we switch on the Exception Windows in the Escape/Setup area - Generic. The option is on the left side near the bottom.
My exception is as follows (I hope it fits).
Actually I've just realised it has some ID info in there so this will be modified and sent via email to [email protected]. I suggest u guys all do the same. The more info they have the easier it will be for them to fix.

I created a P^2 account yesterday evening, created a char in Kisogo, and was never able to log on. The "Entering game as xxx" window pops up and nothing happens.
I created another char, but failed to end the creation process: the character selection window and the last character creation window "blend" with each other, and after a logoff, the new char does not appear (tho the first one I created remains). Did this twice, and it ended the same way : blended windows and char disappears after logoff.
My 2 other accounts work fine btw. Is it related to Kisogo, or is it that the new bloodlines generate errors ?

I got myself logged into Jita, but I get system errors all over the place. I wasn't even able to see what ships I had in my hangar (although I can now), can't undock, character sheet is stuck, chat is ****** up... I can log in with my alts though.

So far, the following things seem to be buggen for me:
Assets, Wallet, Ship Hangar, Map, Undocking (that's probably because Jita is down), Channels and Mailing lists, Corp/Local/etc chat, Char Sheet.
Everything else *seems* to be working like they should. Don't take my word for it though.
It's just sad this has to happen when I'm finally able to fly my BS (and it's also 3-4 jumps from Jita, so I would have no trouble flying it, but I just can't get the hell out of Jita, because I can't freaking undock!!)

Jita- Main cannot logon. Failed at Character Selection after clicking portrait.
Northern regions- Alts on my main and secondary accounts both cannot login in three northern systems. I cant disclose where for security reasons but Im filling out a bugreport asap.

I'm having the same problem. This char is in Kisogo. Both my Main in khanid and my other alt in jita can log in just fine. It's not the end of the world but it's still annoying

I have the same problem
"Failed" upon login from char screen this morning at 0900 (all times CET+1) and now at 1915.
I was in briefly at 1850, got stuck immediately outside space station, and had partial loss of connectivity at that point (i.e. agent info not loading, looping endlessly). No idea what system exactly, but it is Caldari and within wto jumps of Jita (sp?)
Plus, when this happens my characters show as "Member of [starter corp] for 1 day" on the character screen, which is wrong. Anyone else seeing this?
