Die4MePlz... Without insulting your very adept named "empire ganker alt" do you have the skills needed to even breach a shuttles shields or is your name more of a request ?.
Anyway. if you have so many issues with eve then as your sig says go find a nice FPS. I'd say try Battlefield 2 however the idea of unlocking your guns rather then just walking over a brightly covered icon might be a little hard for grasp.
PS i'm glad to hear you know windows so well.. do you also rant on forums about microsoft's products ?

Xp is very good i was on 98 for 4 years 
I get 40fps on COD2 and 80fps COD1 but only get 25fps on EvE 
Yep i can output 1400 1 blast with my destroyer and so can my CEO

Then you know that Eve is more CPU then graphics like Call of Duty.. (they suck by the way, just another oh i'm dead lets restart and the last save point 10 seconds ago)

But so far this patch has been unplayable, but that was something i had expect.
Dont think for a minute its playable though, even my guy in an empty 0.0 system cant log in :(
But no worries, always happens patch day/week :)

you might get more mileage out of a "finish the content from content patch x before doing content patch Y." But that's not your argument. I would submit that Eve runs stable enough for most, thus really calling into question the validity of the argument you have chosen to make.

Code is not good only by the standard of "it works." Problem CCP has here is that by changing something, they mess up something else and they themselves don't know how the whole thing will behave after patching.
So the code is fubar by virtue of being difficult to modify and to enhance. This patch deployment will go down in eve history is my prediction. Too much stuff broken and the weekend is here and so is the powar-of-tow. Do the math.

you dont just lock up @ gates, ctd? increased in ram usage since RMR for no apparent reason by like 100 meg which aint goods when u only got 512mb ram

Fixing bugs makes the game boring, I have a very low attention span so new content is very much needed all the time to keep players interested. Ok bugs happen but its not like CCP put them there and think f*** it. The guys work their asses off to create this world we all live in and do a good job of it imo.
Patch days are very stressful for all involved and if you are a long term player then you know the rules. Set long skill, take lots of valium and sit back as the troubles are sorted and everything get back to normality.
If this game were free people would still moan at the devs and I think its out of order.
Go CCP, I still wub you.
PS this wasnt a dig at anyone imparticular, just letting off steam so please dont flame me for it

To all the people out there who complain constantly about CCP failing in their job, this message is for you. Gather up all the other naysayers, complainers, whiners, holier-than-thou-super-coders and malcontents in one might horde. The US government gives out business loans to startup companies. Use that oppurtunity. The government of France is dolling out money to startups in the fields of computers and tech in order to bolster their standing in the Tech market. There are so many ways of getting money, go find them.
Use the money offered. Use your god-like coding talents and the talents of the others here who say they can do stuff pitch perfect. Stop simply complaining and do something.
Once you dazzle the market, the subscribers and the world itself with your absolute know-how in the realm of Q&A, Coding, Development, Theme, Testing, Servers, 3D Textures, Spelling, and all around general 'Making a better game than others', then we, the people of the electronic gaming world, will finally take you serious.
Until then, all you accomplish is making others think you are the guy on the internet who says he has 'four black belts, including being a ninja assassin for the US President, drives a McLarin F-1, has four supermodel girlfriends, and lives on their own island' while in the meantime knowing that we all know you are really the guy who is sitting in a dark room of a third-rate flat, drinking Dr. Pepper alone on a Friday night while watching reruns of Star Trek(The original, because you will defend Kirk to the grave against Picard) and hoping that your mother calls so you can finally hear the voice of a woman.
I'm all for constructive criticism on the correct boards enlightening the Developers about bugs and issues, but senseless forum complaining in the way of whines and rants is for losers. Please, don't be a loser.
Please, make us all a super bug free game of super content, perfect graphics, excellent balance and superb game play as you people continually say you can.
Until then, I'm going to continue playing Eve.

I have an ATI Radeon 9200, 64MB video card RAM.
2.72ghz P4.
512MB total RAM.
Only real lag I ever get is the occasional FPS lag during large fleet engagements. Otherwise, besides some 5 second lockups, it's been running smoothly pretty much ever since RMR, and especially after the new servers.
Maybe it's not EVE?

I had bugs when I programmed a restaraunt menu for a class. All the damned thing had to do was collect the list of items ordered and get a total as well as being able to add things to the menu.
$)*#ing thing. These guys getting something as complex as an MMO to even run takes some talent.

I don't know. I played 2 other MMORPGS: one failed MMORPG, and one hugely successful MMORPG that everyone here hates.
On neither have I seen such patch days, to be honest.
