Why is new content more important than game reliability/playability?

Die4MePlz	Posted - 2006.03.03 17:12:00 - [1] Adding new content to a game that clearly needs a complete overhaul on the existing code is just crazy if as not to go asfar as stupid. Since RMR i aint seen 1 day of good gameplay, yet they still add more content with a new list of bugs to add to the already huge list, when i say bug's i mean crashes, lag's, lockout's & general interface error's not they forgot to nurf somthing. Please CCP spend more time fixing the code you got before adding more bugs, error's & beating stuff with the nurf bat. ----------------------------------------- If this was FPS you would already be dead. EvE has too many bugs already maybe they should save thier content idea's till after they got a smooth client and server. ----------------------------------------- If this was FPS you would already be dead. Matrix Aran	Posted - 2006.03.03 17:35:00 - [5] Oveur has been shouting this until his face goes blue but still people don't realize that the people who develop the content and do the artwork and modeling can't code if their life depended on it. And the people who code/bugfix couldn't paint a ship even if it was paint by numbers. Thus they are always putting effort into fixing bugs. Its just fixing bugs is a lot more time consuming than thinking up 32 numbers to assign to a ship's attributes. CCP can ignore such post IMHO, because they hold no merit (pure trolling flaming and whinage). as far as the game being reliable, I havent had any real issues on any of the patches (ok, I still hate the font, but it isn't effecting my game play). if the OP keeps getting disconnected, having network reliability issues, or other PC symptoms, try changing antivirus apps, use a few other malware removal tools and scans, or clean install the OS and scan all old files before opening them again. So many 'script kiddies' think they know it all and jump at a chance to blame a game (Eve), when it was their own lack of security that caused their PC to be the problem.... EvE client code is seriously bugged, im guessing the server is too. CCP should remake the whole client & server from scratch using what they have learned over the past 3 years and getting some new blood in to show some other coding technics to create a highly improved server & client. We pay enough money. PS C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\logs says it all maybe they should try a new language... PPS Oh ya python is free.
