CCP has, in the past, been known to credit players free days to their accounts after having serious troubles with playability.
I can't speak as to their required conditions for such a credit to occur, but it probably wouldn't happen before the problems were fixed, as they wouldn't rightly know what sort of credit to give out.

Yes, have a few pence back, I'm sure you really need it.
You do realise that running and maintaining EVE is a very difficult job and updating and patching new versions is even harder? It's not as if CCP are there like 'Oh well, there are problems with the main server but we might as well not bother to fix it'.
It always baffles me why if a new patch isn't totally 100% functional and stable the second the servers come back up everyone goes 'OMG ROLLBACK REFUND I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION THIS IS THE WORST PATCH YOU EVER DID'

we dont pay for out patches, and in games where you pay for patches its always been the same, except the fixes are slower if any ever come

Put a very long skill training, at least > 5 days. Make sure you have switched to a new one when the current one is completing in a day's time. With all the whinning, CCP might give us 1 free day of skill training.
Dont put your hopes too high though.

I agree it is hard work but look at a some other companys out there. Like a sattlite dish company if htey mess up your box there is a good chance you cant' fix it. I think they have it harder.... But I think it is the high ups pushing for new content to get the new players not the people we are yelling at. They go to work just to do there job if they told there boss who said release the patch it isn't ready some times they may say relase it anyway. We will see what happens I realy would hope for a free day for this. But i am not goign to start yelling at the people who have to fix it i am sure they are working to fix it as fast as they can.

Do you REALLY think that all the players who are in trials or first weeks of playing are gonna stand this? Esp ones that dont know WTF is going on.
THIS IS SHAMEFUL. Yes, you get patches in other games, but thats a one off payment, this you pay for even min, even when ur not online. THEREFORE, I cant play. This is not what im paying for.
So, from the time the server was supposed to be up, to the time it is playable again, we want out time extended. If this doesnt happen, you have lost 180 days worth of cash from me, and 99% from other players too.
YES you have had a server upgrade, YES you have had a patch. 2 issues lie on the table. A) Was the server correctly setup in the first place, 1 week isnt really enough. B) Was the patch tested on a 64 bit server? Whats the betting it wasnt...
Sunday tomorrow, I want to play as I have free time, will I be able to? Well we shall see, whats the betting I wont.

I hate this same old bs comment. Do you think EVE would exist if we had to pay for patches? No. How many subscribers do the MMOs that add the patches have? Damn near a few million. EVE? One hundred thousand...
CCP wouldn't exist if they made us pay for content patches.
Also, why don't they take down the server instead of mocking me with it looking like I'm able to connect and play

Server testing is fine
The issue here is the server memory leak. A problem that ONLY occurs when 10k+ people are logged in. Please tell me how you would test for this condition internally?

quit being babies, we all have to deal w/ the same bugs etc. set a skill to train and go do something in RL.
They will make up for it. Yes they could of done much better, but crying will do nothing. Leave already if u cannot handle it. Most every game has similar issues.
The people who will leave over a couple/few days of non playability from a patch being deployed wouldnt last anyway , heck, they might not even fit in under the 7 month average.

I'll just quote this as it's the "small print" you're looking for.
If you don't like the product my only advice is to cancel payment and leave. Perhaps write CCP a mail explaining your reasons, in a friendly tone would be nice, and then move on.
There really isn't much interest ammong the rest of the community to know. They're quite capable of making judgement of the product on their own.

Seriously, if you people are that annoyed by the fact that you cant play for, let's say, 4 days max here, worst case scenario, why bother at all?
If you really think it's that bad how the hell do you put up with online gaming in general?
How have you not had a sudden heart attack from all the pent up anger inside you from just dealing with the daily problems and issues that computers throw at you?
Anyways. . .
4 day / 28 in a month = 1/7 of one months playing time
1/7 of playing time X ú10 for a month = just less thanm ú1.50
You want a ú1.50 refund? Really?
You think that, at the very maximum ú1.50 of playtime is a reason to quit then fine, your choice, just leave quietly and let the rest of us who have some patience, understanding and manners read the forum in peace.
