You can easily tank everything up to the last stage. The Station itself fires citadel torps that hit for 180k raw EM every 30 seconds. Your sig radius is most probably whats hurting you the most. We tanked the whole stage using a Damnation and x2 ...

Did you clear your cache folder? c:\documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\ccp (XP systems) Just delete the folders in there and try again. Dunno if reinstalling EVE removes the cache folder or just leaves it
