Hi M&E,
recently I got a 10/10 plex as an escalation of a simple anomaly. It is called Blood Raider Naval Shipyard. It consists of 3 rooms. The first two are easy (can be done with 3 rr BSes) but the last room is somewhat more complicated, because there is a building, wich shoots citadel torpedos. I heard we need a ship with 95% EM resist and a load of rr BSes to tank this and maybe 8- 10 BSes or more to take down the final structure. Even if it drops over 1 bil, you have to divide that at least by 10, and even then it isn't guaranteed that there won't be losses, since spawns may take down some ships.
So my question is, how to complete this plex cost effectively, what is the best (and smallest possible) fleet setup to take this challenge on with?

Tried something like a Damnation or Devoter for tank, Guardian for remote rep & then gank? My Basilisk can help a cruise Raven tank a 8/10, so could be worth a try?

Tanking ship with passive armor hardeners and a plate or two, apoc with 8x large remote armor reps, and dps dealer. And i think there arent any additional spawns besides the ones already there.

Recently did the Guristas 10/10 "The Maze". That had the annoying Fleet Stronghold which drops the 180k EM damage Thor torps on you every 30 seconds :(
Went in with 3 guardians and a domi, lost the domi in about 40 seconds. Went back in with a damnation and it wasn't even a challenge. Key here is buffer, high resistance and low sig radius (battlecruiser or smaller) otherwise you take full damage from the torp. Once you can deal with that torp, the rest is easy. You can run it with 1 tank, 2 logistics and a damage dealer.
As for being worth it, it dropped about 2.1 bil in mods for us so it shared out quite nicely, ymmv though

Smallest party to do 10/10;
command ship - logistic ship - battleship
Command ship tanking the spawn and logistic reping it out; with proper set up u wont have any problems doing it; and BS being a damage dealer; however on the end u might have a problem kiliing the officer; we once got dude wich tanked 3 cariers (not perfect damage fited thow)

there is an easier way...
broadsword (heavy interdictor), EM resistance above 95%, dual logistics + smart bombs to kill smaller stuff quickly
broadsword, claymore, +buffer HP
and it is not worth it in most cases, we did a maze for the first time, lost 8 Battleships, 2 command ships, 4 assault frigates, 6 logistics, 4 battlecruisers... we finally figured out how to beat it, we had 100 mill worth of loot, 50 mill worth of bounties in the last room, we needed 5 people to beat that.
it can be disastrous and very time consuming

He is talking about the ungated escalation with the station with the Bane EM torpedoes hence you can warp a carrier in and just sit there

Munnin w/ 2x TS EM Hardners, DC II gives you 98.5 EM Resist w/ 425k EffHP. Since Doom Torps have a large sig check, flying anything bigger then a cruiser will hose you. The Munnin and Broadsword have same base armor resist but a munnin can fit a rep while a broad cant. --------------- This sig has been censored in fear of recieving the ban hammer... |

This is what we did a couple of 10/10's with. Although we also took a Drake on an alt for some extra DPS and help with the smaller ships. Fit a remote rep/booster on the Battleship to help the tank out (especially if logistic gets jammed).
For tanking the Citadel torp, having extremely high resist and low sig radius is very important.
10/10's worth it? Yes, very much so. The last one we completed had about 3 billion in loot split between 2 people. However, there is also the likelyhood that no faction loot drops too :( |

Thanks to everybody for the useful info.
To me it seems like 10/10s were very hard a long time ago, but ever since capitals got banned from accessing them (you used to be able to use them with acceleration gates), they became much more easier, and now they can be completed with a smaller fleet.
Can anyone confirm that this change has happened in difficulty?

I've done it with BroadSword on Passive tank + Basilisk and Damege Dealer... it tooks like 40mins to complete all... 2b Drop. Bhalagorn + some other stuff.

We did a similar plex awhile ago. Make sure you keep feeding the tankcap as well so his hardeners dont turn off! Also, bringing in a capital may very well result in a dead capital as the building hits them for full damage due to sig rad, and they are usually omnitanked so you will be surprised when your cap starts failing due to the neuting and then youre done for in your carrier in just a few hits.

we did it, the thor torpedo instapops: hawk, harpy, drake, battleship
only 95% resists with at least some buffer can help withstand the blow
the 10/10 plex can be a loss of many ships.

If I recall correctly, a Citadel Torpedo moves real slow like, so I'm guessing a Defender firing Drake (especially using rocket launchers for this) should have a pretty good chance at knocking out those things with the (probably) necessary repeated strikes before they can spank the Drake.

Command ships or HACs as tank. If you have a clue how missiles work you will find out rest. If you dont - maybe its time to run lvl4's? |

Defenders dont take out the citadels; and they have quite a long flight time.
Lazy way to do this is with a tanked mega with 95% resists to em and nice buffer of 32k armor.
Or you can use a plated deimos.
Still gonna need a logistics (2+ is better) with a couple damage dealers either way. All in all pretty easy. Just be aware of new aggro from new waves and be prepared to either warp ships and regroup , or make sure your tanker keeps aggro, as only the citadel hurts tbh.
Theres also the added bonus of scrambling frigs and webbers in this plex (on JIP), along with all those neut batteries (crazy amounts of hp). Probably the hardest plex i have ever encountered in eve... |

or do you use the command ship for the gang bonuses on top of its immense tank? |

If you used defenders, it goes for a random missle including the missiles from the full spawm. And you need to click each launcher for each missile fired at you. Anyone who used defenders know this.
Even if you used a macro or lots of fingers to mass tap f1-f7 (remember, defenders only fire 1 at a time per click) the thor torpedo would still kill you as
1. Defenders go for other missiles 2. You need somthing like 10 defenders to kill this custom 100k+ damage torp. These torps kill carriers.

In my experience, every Escalation I've ever got has been in Normal Space.
However, the OP is stating multiple rooms. Maybe my experience was something limited to the Drone Regions? |

no the key is not buffer...
domi has a huge sig radius so took heaps of damage...
I took a absolution inot a 10/10 complex b4fore they were made non static...
I would agro the whole room then my corp mates would throw on a total of 15 heavy maint bots and i would happily tank a full room agro using omni tanking.
sometimes corp mates would pull in the drones and hit me with 2 large remote reppers...
