I'm fairly new and I've just gotten 2 accounts that I'm playing with 2 pc's and I just wanted to get a public opinion on the 2 deadliest battleship combo's, I alrdy have one of my eyes set on the Dominix as one ship I'll be aiming for what would be another good ship to combo with the Dominix? Since the dominix is said to be the king of close quarter combat should I combo it with the king of long range combat? and if so what battleship would that be? All opinions are welcomed and would be much appreciated since as of now I have a big thirst for battleship pvp knowledge, thanks in advance.

Dominix and Megathron for close range killage. Ravens are awesome, but really, nobody thinks they are cool :P
2 x Autotempests with Multispec spammage would be quite deadly too. -----
Hi TomB! All out Do or Die Blasterboat for tier 3 Gallente battleship please! Make it look cool too. Thanks. |

I would go for a close range gank ship and a long-range EW ship. A close range ship like a blasterdom (Dominix with blasters and heavy drones for huge damage) with warp scramblers and webs, fully fitted out for damage with very little tank. Then have a scorpion warp in at 50km+ with a full rack of multispectral jammers to jam the target ship. If he can't target your dominix, he's screwed.

i'd say a phoon and a domi. phoon with 4 nos mwd, a few nanos to be used to drain cap, do some dmg and tackle, then an ewar domi with rails not nos. **** loads of damage, jammers and a heavy tackler all in one.
oh and a frig gank squads will LOVE the nos and 10 heavy drones ;)
now leave my sig alone damn ISD |

A pair of ravens, each with T2 Rage Torps and 2-3 T2 Target Painters each.
1000 Damage per torp anyone? --- Linkage

Interesting setups, thanks. So far the gallente/caldari ship combo's are sounding pretty good. Amarr lasers sound pretty cool too just because well they're lasers! but probally not worth trading in caldari or gallente class ships huh? oh well I have plenty of time to think about it while my learning skills are training up.

2 1400mm2s tempests with quake ammo target painters sensor boosters and tracking comps in the mid slots and low everything with gyrob2s
take about 2-3 volleys from each ship to kill anything

Close to medium range, i'd say a dominix and a raven. One gets EW, the other gets tackling + painting.

Most of these of these setups are implying that it's 2 vs1. What if it was 2 vs 3 or vs 2.

I've had great effectiveness in the past using Tempest + Domi. Both fitted for close range, and both running Multispecs.
It takes on 2v2 and 3v2 no problems (see vid below) --

Basically, 1 BS with a decent spread of mids and then whatever you fancy for the other. Don't think there is such a thing as the best deadly combo... but if there was there would be a Scorpion and/or dominix mixed in somewhere.

Blaster Mega + Torp Raven warping in as soon as Mega is within Blaster/scram/web range. I would think that would be about as much damge as two ships could deal. (while still maintaining some variation in ship type)
just thinking about the amount of damge that combo would be dealing will be giving me nightmares.

Edited by: DayVV4lkEr on 06/03/2006 02:40:53 altough it isn't the strongest combo and definatly not the cheapest i would like cures + vagbound
BS i would go EW-Raven plus gank tempest

pvp'ing on 2 accounts on 2 computers is quite complicated and not recommened unless your extremely good at multitasking and have both monitors side by side.
even then you need to be ambidextrous, and able to split your concentration, not to mention it costs twice as much if you die.
friends are better then multiple accounts for most things. _______________________________________________ Deadspace For Dead space!

I would say Dominix and Raven
The Raven would be setup for fast lock & scramble with Precision cruise missiles.
The Dominix would be setup with jammers and nos.
Both ships would armor tank, both would have 1 high slot remote armor rep and stay close.
I choose this setup because to be really deadly, your gang should be able to take on from frigs to battleship targets effectively. It's not very effecient, kill-wise, to setup purely for anti-bs combat. And for bs, 3 sensor boosters + 20km scramble would go a long way to helping you get those smaller ship kills.
