Ok, so here is a solution I heard helped...
You approach a group of macro-miners, look at their can name.
Then you drop a can with 1 unit of ammo (or anything) in it.
Name it the exact same name as their can, and place it somewhere near thiers.
Pop thier can and the macro program will read yours as theirs (as its named the same).
This flags them and makes them KOS to you, kill them at your leisure.
I've never actually tried this... just heard that it works. Try is for yourself in a cheap ship and see what happens.

This actually works? How can a macro ffs read the name of a can??? Still this would only flag the hauler, the miners will just continue their mining business.
A way to get them out of your system is to petition them and then simply harass them untill they get sick of it by hanging around and taking cans before their hauler does.

another way is to go they can open it and open your cargo hold tell your to warp then transfer ore over before you get in to warp its does work but you need to be quick dock at station wait 15 mins and repeat as needed also petition it first

yah the can flagging thing works, you just have to set it up properly.
if you can afford it - the smartbomb thing works well. whats the loss of 20/30 mill when you can kill a load of these damn macroers.
theres a vid on the eve videos section about a guy in a smartbombed domi killed 4/5 retrievers. made back the loss of his ship in modules i believe.

The can trick works
I did this last night, made a can, swapped the ore over and sure enough, along comes their hauler and takes the ore......10 seconds later, one dead hauler. I waited for a whle for them to come back but they didn't so I blew up the can with the ore in it anyway
Some macroers are more switched on to some tricks, I spent hours in Lustrevik ice belt doing this but they never fell for it but moved to an asteroid belt in Renyn and it worked first time.
