Hello,
Last night i was mining and checking "contracts". First my chat window disappeared then the others. Client crashed.
Today i was mining again and chatting/mailing, windows started to disappear again one by one until nothing left but the side bar. I waited for 15-20 secs and everything went normal.
Please any advice to prevent this happen? |

Exact same thing happened to me this morning when I logged in to add a skill and start/finish some research jobs. Chat window disappeared and blinked faintly at first. Then the rest of the UI began to flicker and I was unable to interact with anything. Had to kill the program from task manager to get out. |

If this happens again and the UI recovers, could you please file a bug report immediately from within the game? Doing so gives both information about your system and settings, as well as any errors and warning recently logged. Please give a detailed description of what you were doing at the time, especially if you notice any pattern to this madness. |

I tabbed back in this afternoon and the UI was missing again. I tried opening other windows but nothing seemed to work. I clicked on the character portrait and everything reappeared. I submitted a bug report as requested before it happened again, which is just did. This time the character icon didn't fix it but the ISIS button did. |

Go to launcher and set to DX9, solved problem for me. Only problem i have now is black screen after jumping through gate -.- |

This has been happening the last 3 days, usually when I'm in contracts or inventory and always while in station. One window will disappear like it's been minimized but won't reappear after clicking on neocom. That's followed by others disappearing and eventual crash. I'll send a bug report next time and then try the DX9 fix. |

I have been having this same issue for a week myself it ussually starts in the station than around 30min later it leads to my screen getting severe tearing, half of the screen going dead, and a pink triangle in the middle of my screen (something like this has only happened 1-2 times in the last week though). My screen also frequently goes black after alt tabbing back in. I went googling around and found a forum post from 2011 about the same thing happening but it was on windows xp and the problem ussually startedby alt tabbing.
I am going to give dx 9 a try

I too am getting this problem. Have just switched to DX9, from DX11. Hopefully should solve the problem.
Been doing it about 1 - 2 weeks for me now. Thought it was some heat/CPU related issue, but now that others are having the same problem, I'm somewhat relieved.

as im on windows xp, using 2 clients, dx11 is not an option, and it has been going on since a couple days after the patch which added dx11.
just sitting in station, and boom. ui gone. neo con gone, even the esc options menu is gone, and they
do not come back, not with alt tab or waiting, eventually eve will ctd. I have lost a lot of game time just being frustrated with eve, because I have to kill the process to close the window, and in doing so this forces me to run the repair tool each time.
I dont use alt tab, I use the windows key and mouse click between clients
clearing caches does not help.
window resize doesnt help.
repair tool does not help
windowed mode nor fixed window make a difference
I notice from my googling this is the same problem from december of 2011.
so what ever you undid from that fix, redo it.

Doesn't happen during normal play, but occurs whenever I go afk for more then about a minute. |

Happens to me during normal play. When I'm looking at the market or something else for a few seconds the window will disappear and then others will follow. Clicking on the icon on the "task bar" a couple times brings things back.
Only happens on my laptop, which I updated the driver on because I was seeing a lot of tearing. I'll do the dx9 thing too now. |

so it happened to me earlier today, but i couldnt submit a bug report ingame, UI including system menu ingame was completely invisible, the mouse cursor would change to the appropriate alternate model when it moused over where a ship or item was supposed to be, but i could not interact with anything, same with the screen darkening when i pressed escape, but no menu appeared.
its been getting worse and more frequent everyday, and it isnt my computer as far as ive seen, as every other program and function still runs the same as before the problem started, completely isolated to when EVE is running.
and on that note, occasionally when EVE gets wonky and you attempt to alt+tab to fix the issue, it will go weird and you are unable to interact with the desktop until you alt+tab trhough all open windows and programs.
hope this gets fixed soon before EVE becomes unplayable |

Maybe update your graphics card driver? I had problems with DX11 (although not vanishing UI ones), and switched to DX9 for a period, then I updated my graphics card driver using the automatic function of Win7, and switched back to DX11, and the problems were gone. |

I am having the original issue, with dualSLI nvidia GTX 760s, and high quality graphics settings. For me some of the UI crashes seem to be associated with Foobar 2000 changing songs, which is odd. (this may just be my paranoia, but eve and foobar seem to mutually dislike each other..).
However, contrary to what seems to be being said by a few others, if I alt-tab when I first notice it happening, before the process becomes wholly unstable, and then alt-tab back in, it seems to be fine. Happens frequently enough that I have the timing down pat, but it was difficult to time correctly at first.
To be honest, it is manageable and I'm not exactly trying to use DX9, I feel like it just couldnt do my rig justice.... |

My dealings with this leak issue;
Client
- can die within 1-2 hours of play or up to 10hrs (last was after about 1.5 hours of mostly sitting in space chatting).
- windows die one by one, within 1 second of each other.
- process is always over 1.5gb (never before Rubicon).
- has never recovered.
SLI GTX 550ti's. Interval one. All effects. Content settings all High. Cache, HDR, Station Env On. |

Bug report sent. I just installed Windows 8.1 this also happened to me on the day before with xp.
Done my time in null sec, now I'm just a Privateer wandering around High and Low Sec.

Doesn't appear that this has been fixed. I am having major problems in windowed mode with only one of my three screens where the user interface is missing buttons and doesn't seem to refresh when I move a window around within the client. It shows fine on my other two screens but one screen seems to not be refreshing. If I switch to DX9 there are no problems. I have submitted a bug report. |
