If there is, it's obviously not stickied. I couldn't find any other comprehensive drone issues list a few pages back either, so perhaps we could start one here.
I'd like to see a list of drone issues and maybe some general discussion about them because I don't feel I can find all the info there is on the forums. A centralized place would reassure me that a fix might come, too ;)
Far as I'm concerned, drones suffer from two things. Combat AI, and docking AI.
Combat AI was fixed, according to the patch notes. Before this week, drones were really only manageable if you ganged or really aggressively micro-managed their orders. Now, they supposedly attack only relevant targets, but this afternoon I did notice them breaking off from their approach to fly directly at a non-targeted, non-aggro'd, completely passive enemy fleet. They did not fire before I pulled them back, but that was odd behavior anyway.
I would still like to see their gang influenced AI put into general use. That was almost perfect.
Docking AI is when your drones completely ignore your ship, sometimes even when approaching from the front, and decide to follow you around at 1600 meters instead of docking. Immense fun when you're in a webbed battleship, trying to get your drones home because you need to warp to safety. Do you turn around and risk your ship which is getting close to structure damage, or do you leave your drones behind so that they'll probably get blown up?
I would love to see drones able to dock from any direction again, to always close to 10 meters or less when asked to return to drone bay. It is not that hard to imagine a drone, which as almost always faster than the ship it belongs to, to fly around to the rear or wherever else the drone bay is hidden and then dock. Pilots should not be required to fly around in circles to pick them up.
So that's my request, for a general drone issues list, and my two problems with drones at the moment. Still odd behavior in combat, though I need more time to verify it, and incredibly annoying docking behavior.
Thank you for your time :)
