Planning on going to fan fest for the first time, I was looking over some places to eat and found a restaurant website called Metro (or at least that's what I've gathered).
Could someone please explain this to me? |

You had some automatic crappy translator, like google translate, active when you browsed the web page. |

That's not a restaurant come on, that's a fast food joint. You can do better.. |

Fast food is still technically a restaurant, lol. I don't intend to eat burgers in a completely different country though I did find it rather amusing. |

Actually, in Iceland, I'd suggest having burgers and hotdogs.
http://grapevine.is/Food/ReadArticle/THE-BURGERS-THAT-ATE-LAUGAVEGUR http://fabrikkan.is/ http://roadhouse.is/burgers ( http://roadhouse.is/burgers3 was great)

That's not to say, don't try their national cuisine, but don't discount their take on others.

For breakfast go to the Laundromat and order their "dirty breakfast." You won't have to eat for most of the day. It should be located near the Centerhotel Plaza.
They also have some places that make delicious kebabs around the same area.
For food in general... be adventurous but trust your nose (and go easy on the food available at the venue... it's expensive and not as good as what you can get elsewhere). Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

Could someone please explain this to me? Metro is the Icelandic equivalence of McDonald's. That's the only explanation you'll need of that location. But "penir" in Icelandic is petite, so petite desserts.
Now we're talking.
Hamborgara fabrikkan ( http://fabrikkan.is/ | English Menu ) is great, my favorite there is the Animal Park, the name just says it all. If you're down town and you want a bit variety from burgers, subs or hot dogs Grillhusid may be right up your alley. And can definitely recommend Roadhouse as well. At these places you may need to get a reservation, as they can be quite popular.
Other fast food places: Nonna biti or Nonni's Hlolla batar or Hlolli's (personal favorite, "Hlolli Big") Hamborgara bullan (a.k.a. Bullan) literally translates to Hamburger Joint http://bullan.is/
Bars downtown generally double as restaurants during the day / early evening, so there should be no shortage of access to food.
Hope some of this helps! CCP Customer Support | EVE Online | DUST 514 |

I'd advise skipping the hotdog stand across the street from harpa (well, basically across the street) I was hungry, so the 1st one went down pretty easy; I was still hungry, but just looked at the 2nd one with disgust. And I actually like hotdogs the intel tool we deserve, the intel tool we need |
