I get the same issue when i play 2 accounts on the same machine at the same time. Its a sound card issue. simple

this is NOT... i repeat NOT a gfx card issue...
everyone post your sound cards.

yeh its definately sound blaster audigy.. game mustnt like something about them..
maybe we can get ccp to take a look

I had the same problem a couple of months ago, i tried everything, reinstalling the game, running antivirus and antispyware, latest video card drivers.. and kept being booted.. i got an error message saying that hardware drivers were causing the problem, but it did not happen when i turned off sound on the options screen.
So i ditched my audigy drivers and installed the ones i got from www.kxproject.com, these guys are making drivers for all the line of soundblaster cards.
So if you have a soundblaster card try these, they will help and now i play with sound and have never got a reboot since then.
Everyone with this issues.. download that kxproject driver.. it works, better than i expected :)

This is definately something CCP 'need' to fix. It's clearly an issue with compatability etc. How do we put a request in to have this prioritised?

Yes its an issue with the Audigy 2. But its definately an issue with the way EVE works with the Audigy. I have no problem what so ever with other games and the audigy 2. Only eve.
CCP's software clearly has a bug in it that doesnt like this sound card, it may be something minor but its still a problem that CAN be fixed by CCP. To expect Soundblaster to resolve this when only 1 game seems to have issues is a bit tedious.
