Hell, even 1x Tritanium from the noobships makes me feel better than getting a shuttle.

Imagine you are stuck in some stupid low sec station for some reason (maybe because you had to leave during the last roam) and wonder how you get home safely because there is nothing usefull in the market. But luckily you have those nice stabs you can redeem and laugh at the next one trying to scram you

You start seeing Christmas stuff in stores the day after Halloween - it's all commercial now and that is driven by people with the exact mentality that you are displaying right now. Go to a starter area and give your unwanted presents to someone just starting out - that's what I did and most were overjoyed to have the item / isk if nothing else.
