We are ore thiefs (: so we see a lot of players using these macros. I wrote a petition to CCP - nothing happens?! I told them player names, nothing happens. Our corp has stolen every piece of ore in a fair way ;-) but it doesnt make sense to play against players that use this type of cheats. And players using this would use everything to win - simply cheaters. I want CCP to stop this as fast as possible and every fair player should want the same. The cheaters have to be banned! It was hard enought for us to find them and it¦s really stunning to see CCP handle it - they appeared visible in the GM-battleships - wow. They should do invisble checks!!!
Players! If u find macro-users, just steal them the ore. U can see it easy when it is a macro:
- ore is dropped in single stacks in the containers.
- indys are flying a programmed course, from cargo container to next.
- if u drop a container with 1 Veldspar, the indys go for it, even if its 50 km away.
- they go on producing ore while u steal it.
- if u ramm them with 2000+ m/s u can draw them away from the asteroids, so they cant go on mining automatically.

Just post the names of the corps and where they normally do it. I'm sure you find one or two corps who would like to declare war and kill some ultra-afk miners.

I agree with you, but telling everyone here is not going to change anything and will only make people angry and flame this post.
File a cheat petition to stop the macro users and you will all be doing us a favor.
Complain about it on the post and you will be doing nothing to stop it.
I would rather die a free man than live as a slave. |

Why? It's perfectly legal and if they are not doing this macromining (which they will surely deny till hell freezes over) they have *nothing* to fear, do they?
Once a unfirendly player warps in they should get a threat warning and can warp out AFAP. If they are present then, that is 
I mean, he doesn't need to accuse them of macromining, just a nice little tip of "easy targets: corp ... in system ... seem to have very slow response times, can be taken out easily" in the bounty forum, that's all what is needed.

I wont post corp/player names - it¦s CCPs job to "x" these players. But every1 should know what we handle with, so i posted the link and a description how to disturb macro-cheaters. Ramm them, steal the ore, drop 1 Veldspar 50 km away or if u want kill em. Untill CCP react on these cheaters its the only way to do something.

Read the EULA...using macros is a violation of the user agreement.

When eve went live, we asked CCP wether macro mining was illegal or not and we was told it was legal. Later on they made it illegal. So most macro miners that i know about changed it to afk mining with a fully expanded bestower instead.
Alt mining with an AFK indy makes a small profit when you are otherwise busy. And its legal.

He did say that he's petitioned and nothing happened. Presumably he's telling us so that if we *all* petition, we might get something done?

This with indys travelling 50 km to get one container with 1 veldspar seems pretty big proof to me.

Just look into containers...when fair players mine, there is 1 big stack. Macros-cheaters have 20 stacks with same amount for example.

I think you'll find it is CCP who will destroy EVE, not cheats...they will just be a small factor.

CCP having big problems in finding the balance in game is the 1 thing...cheating another! If s1 once used cheats he also will use it battle when he loses 1-2 BS. I dont want to play with this type of players. Perhaps some people forget too fast, that it is only a game. Folks, go ebay and look whats going on...its drifting in a comercial game scene. ISK makes people ill, $ make them desperate!

1.0 and 0.9 systems don't have pirates in belts.
Well how about.
1.0 to 0.7 Belts - Weak Pirates (Nuisance Factor Mostly)
0.6 to 0.4 - Medium Level NPC 'Rats
0.3 to 0.0 Empire Space - Uber 'Rats
0.0 Non-Empire - Awesome Uber 'Rats, plus major kick-ass NPC Battleship 'Rats
Ya ya, i can hear the screams of 1.0 is supposed to be safe. Well no, really no system is meant to be completely safe.
Just need something to be done about people in Indies doing all this AFK mining in 1.0 and 0.9 systems.
What game in history can you think of that you believe is meant to be played as:
log-in
select indy ship
warp to belt in 1.0 system
target large asteroid
activate mining lasers
minimise Eve Window
[insert your favourite activity here]
Two hours later
Maximise Eve Window
Choose 'warp to station'
Dump Ore
Warp to Belt
Rinse and Repeat as before
Playing computer games is supposed to require attention, concentration, and focus on what you are doing. Hence the need to introduce an element of danger to ALL systems IMHO

Mining is the most boring part of the game, I think macros should be allowed. In fact they should have ingame macros.

id like to point out whoever wrote said macro should clean it up, this issue is easy to fix
i have yet to see a very complex player made ai in eve yet(maybe they are out there dunno) , go try ac1 they will teach you how to code |

Using an ingame macro from CCP is completly different thing - could be a good idea to make it possible and fair. But actually these cheaters have an advantage what makes them to cheaters and they sell ISK and the macro on ebay.
