Edited by: Asane on 08/03/2006 23:56:27 I wonder why you whiners pay for this anyways..
I wouldn't pay for something that sucks, that's for sure.. Hell I don't even pay my girlfriend and she..... err... nevermind that last part
Edit: And for that matter, I petition more than support wants me to, but they still answer within 0-3 days

Why are these two companies always listed. The real question is have YOU played a game by either company? The whole SWG issue was just a bunch of whinage by a very small few. 100% agree, Mr.McFly. I swear there is nothing worse then a fanboy.
Man o man, it was not a very small few it was 75% of there customer base!
typo...

A small point in the original chaps defence...
It is annoying to be asked to post petitions with the in game tools, those tool constantly crash (I even posted the php error û how annoying that 2 months later it seems to still be there) so you send e-mail. You get one back telling you... yes you guessed it - please post using the petition tool.
Countess Oracle only crime is frustration, itÆs easy to mock until youÆre in the same queue and no one helps you or the answers are just plain mad
Personally I have had an 80% excellent return on help with the last 20% being immensely annoying and I just accept that in the grand scheme of things itÆs a game.
It would not go amiss to have a customer survey or something, my gripe is they send an e-mil with reply in æxÆ time or we close it.
æxÆ being too short a window in my opinion and I accept that this is my opinion and I could be wrong here û but there thatÆs my gripe!
It's a Dog eat Dog World out there and I'm wearing Milky Bone underwear

Originally by: Tas Devil Edited by: Tas Devil on 08/03/2006 23:53:35 Welcome to the world of Online Game customer support...
There are a few rules you should know about ...
1st and foremost Customer support experience in EvE and all other MMORPG should never be compared to other forms of customer support... that is a sin ... the fact that other forms of services in the Real World achieve much better CRM and CS is not to be brought up on MMORPG forums ...
Most EvE players are content that Eve provides better support then the abisymal levels of CRM and CS of other MMORPGs and as such because Eve is better at CRM then other MMORPG trying to widen their Horizon to anything outside the MMORPG community is futile... the nature of their replies is usually alongs the lines of 'you should have played this or that game... if you were a MMORPG veteran you would know how bad it was there or then ...'
The 2nd rule is even simpler... any complaint you may have ...valid or not will lead to a chain of ridiculous 'can I have your stuff ?' 'Leave no one cares' from the fanboy community who feels that any complaint about Eve is Blasphemy... (even normally intelligent posters like Dark Shikari seem to go down this trend now... )
Finally with regards to your specific problem ...the GMs of Eve which form the backbone of the CRM have in the last year accepted that a queue of 1-2 weeks of backlog petitions is 'normal' ... this leads to a total loss of control as soon as anything unsuspected and unanticipated happens (such as the patch c.ck up)...this of course is normal according to the fan boy community...
The fact that every patch naturally leads to extra petitions and extra work for GMs hasn't quite yet registered with them ...otherwise a simple action would be to clear the petition queues with extra manpower BEFORE the patches are deployed rather than afterwards (with Developper labor on top of that)...so as to anticipate the extra work that patch days always leads to... but no Eve CRM is reactive at best ... so you have to suffer first for them to up the ante and react later ...
All this being said ... I am still of the opinion that Eve CRM is million miles ahead of other MMORPGs ... but also millions miles behind other CRM experiences I have had with online services iin thr RW...
Wow... an inteligent post in the middle of all of this. I'm amazed

Heh, agreed with your post mainly.
The only time I generally "go down that thrend" is when the post is simply a whine. I do agree that the petition system is vastly backlogged and thus customer service has suffered. However, whine threads won't do anything about it.

Having been the poor customer service SOB that has to come in to work everyday knowing that the support queue that was already a week behind just got flooded with 1000 new requests, and knowing that the whole team can only resolve 800/day, and knowing that there will be 1000 new requests tomorrow, I have this to say:
BooHoo to you!!! Be glad that CCP is on the ball enough to keep you informed about the status of your incident, and link the reply from your unassociated email address to your incident. You spinning your head 360 while spewing pea soup does not make the customer support agents wanna help you.
You already know where the problem occured (hint: it has to do with your email). Yelling b/c CCP has a policy in place to protect your privacy, is th only "idiot" action I see in the whole Customer Service interaction. The easy answer here is to reply to CCP's request to update your incident with the email address of record for your EVE account.
