i'ruiner	Posted - 2006.03.09 02:39:00 - [1] what's the deal with the amarr silver and gold magnates? i can't find out anything about these, anywhere. can someone explain this to me? why they're not in the market, or even mentioned practically anywhere? are players capable of owning them? do they not exist anymore or something? sorry if this is dumb, i'm sorta a noob.

The gold one got killed and a bunch of silvers are still alive but in the hands of collectors, so the chances of finding someone who wants to sell his is small. If I got it right, the (only) Gold Magnate was the first prize in some kind of race, and the few Silver Magnates were the "second prizes" ... I think some of those frigs are still in the game, but they're one-of-a-kind, nber-collector items ...

I dont get it. erm..for the people that can afford (quite a lot actually) then its a prestige collectors item, a lot like people collect expensive works of art in RL just to have in there dining room where can i petition the ISD member that messed with my sig for no reason?

Liranis	Posted - 2006.03.11 23:18:00 - [22] For the Opux yatch in a thread of somebody doing a collection of all frigs in game one of the owner stated that 2 of them were given ingame, that he was the owner of the first and that the second one was blown up at this time, so it's a unique ship too now! :) Oh and there is Imperial Apoc too there is one(maybe two if the second is still there as the 3 others were conformaed destroyed from memory). The only species that don't have cool ships like that are Caldaris and Minmatar... it's unfair! :D (/me would love to see the stats of an Special Caldary Raven... :D)

Khan Farshatok	Posted - 2006.03.13 00:28:00 - [27] There were 1 gold magnate and 19 silver magnates handed out (I think, might have been just 7) They were prices in the amarr championship. 5 teams, each consisting of 1 champion and 3 wingmen, that made it to the final rounds, were awarded. The MASS team, Ecliptical, Kileak, BlackViper and Grikl, won that tournament. As such, Ecliptical was given the gold magnate. And all other 19 were given silver ones (or might just have been his 3 wingmen + champions in the 4 other teams). Ecliptical later (6+ months) sold it to Tyrrax Thorrk, who lost it in combat vs several m0o members. Also, the 4 members in the winning teams were given Imperial issue apocalypses, and the other 16 were given Imperial issue armageddons. edit oh, and Eclip had a planet named after him, and 3 moons named after his wingmen.

Mine was the first Opux Luxury Yacht in the game, the second one was recently spawned in last October. The Opux is priceless, and I wouldn't sell mine, ever.
