Dev blogs and official information
- Community Spotlight: Thirty Days in EVE Online - Forum discussion
Kudabeybe Ahmed is fresh to EVE Online as he began playing on November 24th after picking up an EVE Online account through Steam. Since then he had learned about PLEX and set himself the challenge to earn enough isk in his first 30 days to buy a PLEX from the in-game market. Kudabeybe has been recording and releasing since then a video for each day of his experience in EVE Online. Check out the interesting videos!
Featured Fansite: Sovereigntywars The Featured Fansite, presented by CCP Gargant, is this time Sovereigntywars operated by Shalee Lianne. The blog and mainly focuses on everything related to Factional Warfare. As you will soon come to realize from reading the blog Factional Warfare is more than simply flying into the systems and blowing your enemies (or your friends) up. Playing the market, doing agent missions, manufacturing, and many other aspects all come to play to be successful. Explore Sovereigntywars!
Devposts on the forum and news
- Duality Opens For EVE Universe Data Migration Testing
For the next few days, the Duality test server will be open to test a system where the EVE universe data is not directly authored into the database, but instead will be authored to files in a source control system. This will allow for much more flexibility for changing game data. More information is available in the forum thread by CCP Lebowski.
- New Eden Open II schedule changes
The initially announced dates of the New Eden Open II have been changed. Signup's start at January 7, ends at January 20. The NEO II matches start on March 1st and end at March 16. Check CCP Gargant's new post for the full schedule!
- Ongoing improvements to large fleet battles
As CCP Veritas confirms, we have continued efforts to improve the experience of large fleet battles. Occasional node crashes, such as in recent massive battles, are not due to server overload but due to undiscovered bugs (which get exposed only in very rare cases). Errors, which resulted in previous node crashes, got already fixed on Tranquility!
- CCP Logibro loves his Fedo
CCP Logibro loves his Fedo and will call him Squishy - some people think this is a questionable move. Did the Yule Lads bring you a Fedo as well? Check out the EVE Advent Calendar if you haven't already!
- CCP Fozzie and his abilities to see into the future
While everyone knows that CCP Fozzie is a robot sent from the future, he also can be very elusive with rarely outright denying things as crazy as they might sound. I guess we all have to wait and see what the future will bring!
- Tea? Did someone mention tea?
Delicious tea! The only way to be sure. Of course this fact is also known by CCP Falcon.
