I'd like the option to turn the naughty word filter on the forum off.
CCP already have a record of how old we are, and the posts are intect in the database since the filters are only applied as the page is rendered, so how about it?
Its not like we can't find out what it actually says in at least 2 different ways, anyway.
no skills, just luck.

I think that censorship is a good idea, but maybe refine 2-3 words i always see censored (i.e.*****pit).
You may like swearing and feel free to do it in your own time and for your own ears, I'll spare mine.

Exactly, Which is why it should be a personal setting, like whether to display people's sigs or not.
They're only words after all, and regardless of how offensive you find any given combination of letters, there's a lot more to it than simple biology when somebody chooses to write **** instead of*****.

At the very least, the offensive word filter needs a serious overhaul, and filtered words need to be revised.
For example: sc*****- not only does it censor a legitimate word, *****isn't a bad word, per se, to begin with.

It's stupid because nearly everyone knows ways around it anyway, even deliberately mis-spelling it works. It's total bolocks!
