1. Get a Viator (or blockade runner of your choice) 2. Use instas 3. Have a scout 4. Cloak 5. Nano's in lows, hardners in mid's 6. MWD
If you do this, and play your cards right, you will be practicaly uncatchable.

7. Train up evasive manouevring V and buy an agility implant.
if you do all these steps, your problems in empire are over. 0.0 is a different matter because bubbles can still catch you.
a transport ship with alot of lows like the occator or impel, full of nanos might not warp before the snipers fire, but has so much HP/ good resist that that doesnt matter. These suck in 0.0 however unless you have big escorts.

My Viator goes a good 2500m/s--shadow serpentis 10mn MWD (got it for 5m) and lows full of named nanofibers.

Enyone else noticed the high shield resistances on minmatar transport ships? mastodon+invulnerabilty shield+shield skills+shield extender= ~90% resistance to all damage types on the shield, and that with +3500hp shields which recover quite quicky. If you stock the low slots with some wcs and nanofibers, you got yourself an armoured yet speedy tank. I'm still quite new to Eve, i'm going to try this setup out as soon as I have the skills for it (~3 weeks)

Quick question, could you give an example of what nanofibers? I've never bought one so I'm not sure I'm thinking the same thing you are. Thanks

Honestly any of the named nanos will do; they all have the same -15% intertia multiplier, so the only difference is a few m/s in speed. ---- FREEE Explorer Lead Carebear |

1-Large shield booster + Amplifier
2-2xShield booster
3-Mix of Shield booster and a shield hardener of choice
4-2xshield hardener of choice

If you can't get out before the shield booster would have made up for the equivalent in hardening or extenders, you're probably not going to get out, anyway (you've been scrammed and webbed). So your main scenario is jumping in somewhere and being surrounded by hostiles, possibly being in a bubble. You'll either extract yourself from that fast, or you'll die, and survival is going to turn on soaking up damage long enough to get clear and warp out, and not getting too many scrambler points on yourself first.
IOW, go with the hardeners.

Not using it much now since i've evolved a LOT since the last post here but I found that with sufficient skills/RCU II/implants you can fit 2 large shield extenders AND a large shield booster. goes around 200m/s without AB but it's has so many HP and boosting that most people give up after 5 minutes of trowing ammo at a shield tank that doesnt break. Just ask em nicely to stop, they're smart enough to do so. If you run into +5 BS with bubble camps, well, you just deserve to be shot. I even managed to fit an XL shield booster, quite hilarious when you get two extra cap batteries. -"Yes! We broke his shields" -*poof* full shields
