Hi, I am still new to EVE and was wondering if you could give me some career advice. I have 2 accounts, one with top notch Noctis pilot and the other one 7 days old with an alt learning caldari ships+missiles aiming to fly lets say RNI one day. What would you recommend i should train towards on the salvaging account to synchronize both accounts for dual boxing? I am quite interested in incursions and wormholes. This is probably just a noob suggestion but could I learn to fly orca, load a noctis, some exploration ship and scout ship in it and try WHs together with that RNI alt? Or what else would you recommend? Thanks! |

Well, you need tackle, and you need DPS. There should be a big enough hint right there. Dual boxing successfully is NOT easy though. Don't stress so much about "career" and "perfection", your goals will change over time and so will your skill queue. Eve is about having fun, not about reaching arbitrary skill X. |

Quite possibly the best advice I can give you is that you should join a player corporation that does things such as Incursions, which you seem to be interested in. I know my corporation has people running 40 man fleets and there should be more out there. Look around and check the variety to be had and see what suits you. The amount of experience and help you can get from being in a solid corporation that fits you both in play style and personality is vital for any player in the long run.
There is a lot to learn and while the forums and other out of game resources can be helpful, there just is no substitute for someone in game helping you along the way. |

the thing with incursion corps is that seem to recruit players that can already fly the required ships, but i need to decide what skills to learn asap.
btw, do the incursions players use outside-corp characters or should i make a new alt so i dont have to worry about wardecs on that salvager toon? |

I do not do incursion running but my understanding is there are several types of incursion fleets. There are Corp fleets from a single corp, Incursion Communities that have FCs creating organised fleets from within that community offering things such as ship replacement and then there are slightly more ad hoc fleets put together on the day by a FC choosing from whoever is available. |

Join a corp, but do some research first as there are quite a few ***** ***** corps out there. Join a good one, preferably a rookie corp that feeds a larger entity. They will be able to help. |

Incursion Fleets do require some amount of skills if you are to be a useful element in the fleet. Being able to spider tank or do the needed DPS is important. Also being shield or armor tanked is also very important, as fleets tend to be specific towards one or the other.
Really you need to find a corporation that will provide you the details on all of this. While there is a sizable amount of people in my corporation who work with other corporations to hold fleets at any hour, we are not dedicated to the role of being only in Incursions. We have many sections like a lot of large corporations and the ability to switch or multi function or be part of various events really helps. I am trying not to sound like a recruiter, because I am not, but really if you want to grow in Eve Online, please do look into player run corporations, especially those who are newbie friendly.
I have done most of the things in Eve Online in my time. Having started out as a null ice miner and growing into other roles as I evolved as a player. You will go through phases in your time within Eve Online where you will want to change your direction and goals and being part of a friendly group of people who encourage you to have fun is very important. There is a corporation called Eve University where I used to teach at that does offer both in game training and has out of game resources. While I am no longer with them, they are one of the corporations I would recommend looking into.
As always you can message me in game or via the forums for other information.

Nocti is good to have. RNI is a good goal. Pick up on the passive BC first (check wiki for the popular passive build), then work your way to Raven and lvl4 missioning. Those three ships are a good set to have for 4's, you will still use your BC often there with good skills. If two boxing, the BC would be useful flying wing for your BS, BS is not optimal for taking out frig scramblers as many lvl4's have. You'll just do missions faster, but 4's just in a fair SP'd BS is still not overly challenging. imo multi is best for mining or cap ship support, less needed for BS support (SP into drones), but useful. Also, if you use your Nocti a lot, good to put some SP into marketing imo. |

Thanks for the answers, i figured it would be wise if I just ran missions until i learn the ropes and join incursions without worrying that screw it up. If I fly that raven and later RNI on that caldari toon, what ships would you recommend on that second account to synergize with the raven? Ideally something not click-heavy |

Passive Drake w/ heavy missiles + drones. Your missions will have many cruisers and some frigs, then a splash of BS's. Frigs don't matter so much, but the jammers can be a pain. Drake can clear cruisers pretty quick, which can be a threat to your BS. If you used a frig, your DPS may be too low to contribute to BS popping when everything else is cleared. You can even run many lvl4's with just the Drake alone, and sometimes faster, with good SP. That's 1 BS + 1 BC + 10 drones, pretty much overkill for any lvl4. I'd maybe split the nocti and BS on the same account, sending the BC ahead to the next mission while the nocti cleans up the remaining.
Otherwise, my alternative would be a blackbird. But you want faster SP, and I know from first hand electronic warfare takes time to train to good levels. But obvious choice is Drake. |

What if i flew a logi instead of that BC, lets say Scythe and later Scimitar, wouldnt that be much less of a clickfest? I would still be able to clear wrecks in noctis, switch to logi and join my BS in the next mission. And the logi skills would also be useful if I ever start incursions |

And the logi skills would also be useful if I ever start incursions For missions, you can build your BS to hold at 0 damage, really it's mostly overkill even with the lower DPS, while heavily shield tanked. More DPS means faster missions. Never lost a BS on a mission. Never had to retreat my BS from a mission. Your BS isn't going to be a clickfest, it's quite boring actually, especially if you run stable while it sucks up damage. If you run more aggressively, you still wont hit frigs and cruisers as well as a Drake, yet you can still do good damage against BS' with that drake. Now, doing things beyond missioning, WH's or something, logi could be useful. That's beyond my expertise though, I just mission, hack, EW and market. In the greater sense though, you fly and do whatever you want in this game. But as far as mission speed vs training time, BS + BC + Drones seems appropriate for the activities you inquire on. I'm sure it can all be argued down to a science, but you fly what you want. If you want to logi, then you logi, it's all good.
