We could easily have got away, but we choose to stay and fight.. And we decided long before we undocked (5 hours earlier), that this was a "Thx for a cool contract, suicide run".
We did loose, and we didnt kill much, but we had some fun.

i remember that fight , i am pretty sure it was suicide run as KIA said cause they could have warped away, several of them only warped off to warp back in even tough nearly all of them were already dead

Just a lil note on how the war with Sylph Alliance began.We were in the process of closing un-used offices in the area.One of our senior members went to close the one in Ussad.While doing that he was told to leave the area or die.After that of course a skirmish between our Senior member and several Sylph members commenced.After Sylph members blatant smack-talk in local it was then decided that office was to be re-opened and let the games begin.Good luck to all |

If u tell something about the reasons for the war u should tell the entire story. You started attacking our members from time to time for more than 1 month, so we decided to set u KOS. That was the reason i attacked and killed your senior member. You are pirates, as u said yourself, and then u started wining because the other side shot back.

After reading your post, I got very worried and thought I'd have a serious talk with the ones involved... then I checked your killboards and didn't see any of us killing TSDS before the war declaration
I am sure you guys are very rigorous about the use of your killboards like any decent corp/alliance running a killboard so I am sure you made a mistake and we never shot down carnalpleasure .
So, Boltarr, did we shoot down carnalpleasure (and a quite a few others) or not?

you will find that some of our members post their kills all in one go once a week.
All members of our alliance are instructed to post both kills and losses, though like I said not always straight away.
Anyways good luck all round, though don't expect KIA to force us into surrendering, just a shame its not battle angels who were hired those guys are a great bunch!

Mable, the incident Fisty is referring to involved KIA and occurred several months ago. It has nothing to do with our current contract.
For your information it was a suicide run that several KIA pilots made to celebrate the end of a war. At the time the FC of the opposing fleet recognised it as such and honourably allowed the KIA pilots involved to get their pods out. The "controversy" has arisen because KIA did not include these ships in their contract losses although they were posted on our killboard.
You'll notice that most of the people whining on the forums about KIA, our tactics, our self promotion and boasting about selling faction loot they acquired from one of our pilots months ago etc etc.... recently got their arses handed to them and lost their claimed space. Something, I am proud to say, KIA played a part in. So they have good reason to dislike us, not that we give a toss .

GL Kia, I hope to see more of you around US time. To those complaining about inaccurate killboards, please send all killmails not posted on the site to me personally ingame. I look after the killboard, and it is new to all of us so you won't see many killmails from February and before. Name one corp/alliance that 100% of their members post their kills and losses without missing a beat. You can beat it into them, swear and curse at them, but you're still not going to get them all to post everything. Luckily with the KIA contract, they have a killboard so I troll through that daily looking for unposted killmails to stick on our boards.
@Slyph, the fact you hired mercs to fight your war for you suggests you have other, larger issues to worry about than just complaining about fake/unposted killmails.
Anyway.. if you see a descrepency with our new allinace killboard, again its a new killboard for the alliance where before we only had the free EVEkill board for corp-only killmails, mail me directly ingame with the details and perferably the killmail and I will get it sorted. This will be a much more effective medium than whining about missing killmails (where is Slyph's killboard btw?)

Well, that's good to know, Osiris. I'll remind the sylph-members of that and will remind them that they can send the killmails to you, should they not see them there.
You know that we had some... weird alliance members to say the least. But the war has done us well and much scum (You know who I mean, and you know we've apologized... for their existance even :) ), and many people who never really stood behind the alliance are gone now.
Definitely, the war has done us well in many ways. We wouldn't have kicked those trouble-makers if someone had just "complained". I have learned to appreciate some TSBS members (I've only talked to TSBS members, no other TSDS members) and I understand that you have your reasons for your war. You don't really need to state them.
Of course, since this is a war, we can and will use the possibilities we have to to fight back too, without having to give our reasons either. If you insist though, you can contact me ingame and we can have a friendly conversation about our decissions :)
But to get back to the topic, I think that KIA are doing their job nicely and I'm satisfied with having hired them. I would certainly get back to them for other jobs any time, not because they are doing this one well, but because the lads over there are damn nice people, always up for a laugh.

To whole sentence that you consider smacktalking was a warning "leave this system or die" which was answered by Carnals "I'll have a crew here in no time". I personally don't see this as smacktalk, especially since we (which you admittedly did not know) had an operation going at that time. I don't know what was added on the way to TSDS leading to this war. As I see it, both sides acted on their words :)
Admittedly, later on in the war there was an issue of real bad smacktalk on our side, that was dealt with the according consequences for those involved on our side (exclusion of one my own Corp Members and exclusion of a large corporation within Sylph Alliance). But that was before we actually contacted KIA and should be discussed in another thread.

Well actually he's getting better. He almost never attacks Gates and Stations anymore, and now he rarely tries to solo kill Battleships in his Frigates. We're still having a few difficulties understanding the "You+Inty Vs Him/her+HAC=a no no" formula, but some progress has been made

Thats hard to imagine. I didnt think it was possible for anything KiaEddz name was attached to to be smack free.

Oh dear.... I think most ppl that have fought KIA would agree there is very little if any smack in local when we fight. I think the guys we are fighting in our current contract would also agree. So what kind of smack could you be talking about...
Ahhhh, a quick look at our killboard shows Occassus Republica as fourth on our Top Victims list. Maybe that's the kind of smack you mean.... bottoms still smarting guys?

I am overdue for another movie, but unfortunately KIA doesn't have many "night crew" members so I don't think I have any at all clips of their week-long contract with us. The Sylph Alliance/KIA wars are now over. Those interested can see the results here from our alliance killboard.

You can see it took us a few days to get off our asses to engage KIA in any notable efforts so there are more kills for towards the end of the campaign, and lots of losses at the beginning due to low member counts online.
note to KIA: hire more nightshift players before another engagement please

Aye our nightshift is pretty low after we lost some members lately.
It seemed that most of you guys were in stain (at least when I was online). And I wondered why most of you showed up this saturday like 5-6 hours after the concord message of not renewing the war came up

ya we had some troubling internal issues that were preventing people from staying logged on more at the beginning, and so people were logging in, not able to mount a force due to such low numbers, and chillin in other space. On Saturday we were busy camping Sylph in Ussad and fascilitating discussions that lead to the end of the Sylph/TSDS war the following day.
