3x named cruise launchers 1x cloak
1x sensor booster II 1x named web 2x named sensor dampeners
1x mapc 1x bcu I/II
Basic, well known dampener setup. Eats frigates and interceptors alive if you get within 10k. Not useful for much else except fire support.

If you just want to sit at 120km and pop rats, then you can easily swap the sensor damps and web for an AB or a cap recharger or something. Apart from that, it's the same setup I used.

This is a pretty tight fit, you'd need atleast weapons upgrades IV and good named stuff. Its a good setup though.

3 tech 2 cruise with precision (for inties) or fury cruise (for larger ships) 1 covert cloak
3 named damps, named sensor booster CPU2 and a MAPC
Fury and Precision > BCS

I thought that manticore's couldn't fit a covert ops cloak. Did something change or am I just totally wrong there?
Also, what does MAPC stand for?

Edited by: Jacinto Naysmith on 13/03/2006 08:52:55 Thats correct, stealth bombers cannot fit Covert Ops Cloaks. MAPC stands for "Micro Auxiliary Power Core" which gives +10 powergrid instead of a percentage like PDU's and RCU's.

Edited by: Harlequinn on 13/03/2006 16:26:31 Solo Lurking Gank Setup
Highs 3 x T2 Cruise 1 x Faction Cloak (or improved II)
Mids 2 x Sensor Booster II 1 x 20km Warp Scrambler 1 x Web (faction are the best)
Lows 2 x Nanofibers
Fighting at range is only sutiable for when you are part of a gang and your mates can tackle. Otherwise you need to fight up close. The above setup excells at that kind of fight. Seconds after decloaking, you can have a point of warp jamming and 3 cruise flying at your target. Precision cruise and the web make intys cry.
If you are part of a roaming gang, keep the 2 sensor boosters and trade out the scrambler and web for a small cap battery II and a sensor dampner. You will need a MAPC to power all that though.
If you can't fit T2 launchers, fit the best named ones you can afford to lose. Then put a BCU in a low slot.

Here's a good one for pack hunting. It requires Covert Ops 4, Weapon Upgrades 5, and Advanced Weapon Upgrades 3, plus some support skills. With higher skills and better named MAPCs in the low slots, it could probably fit T2 cruise launchers.
High Slots 3 x 'Arbalest' Cruise Launcher I 1 x 125mm Prototype Gauss Gun 1 x Improved Cloaking Device II
Mid Slots 1 x 1MN Microwarpdrive II (or named, if you prefer) 1 x Sensor Booster II 2 x PWNAGE (Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron -- best Target Painter)
Low Slots 1 x MAPC (+10 powergrid) 1 x Micro B66 Core Augmentation (+11 powergrid)
With several people, the target painters will let your cruise missiles make mincemeat even out of smaller targets. The 125mm railgun is pretty pointless, but you might as well stick something in that slot. Maybe it could hurt a drone or something.

As far as I know target painters are useless to a stealth bomber. The missile precision bonus on them is enough to deal full(or close enough) damage against frigates.

In all my experiences flying a manti you're there for dmg, dmg, and more dmg. You obviously aren't going to be out doing pvp by yourself so let whoever is tackeling do the stuff like web and target paint, webbing in a manti is kind of useless anyway, that ship is so weak that if they get within range for you to use it, you're dead.

Hmm, a solo ganking manti works quite well actually and has to be up close for the kill . It also isn't gimped at all when acting as damage support for a gang, unless that gang is roaming. So before you decide that it can't or shouldn't be done just because you haven't tried to, you might want to consider that it has been done by others and done effectivley.
With T2 Precision cruise missiles and a web, close range interceptors get a nasty surprise. While a web doesn't come into play very often, when it does nothing else will let a manti kill a inerceptor like it. The T2 precision cruise need a 'ceptor webbed to kill it, otherwise they don't do significant damage.
