Princess Beefcurtains	Posted - 2006.03.12 03:10:00 - [1] Quote: SCOTS were warned last night that much of the country would wake to a day of heavy snow and driving winds. Forecasters said drivers should check conditions before travelling after predicting a "nasty" 24 hours of weather that would see up to 20cm of snow and severe gale force winds sweep the nation. The Met Office expected between 10-15cm of snow to fall in many areas of the Central Belt with up to 5cm in central Glasgow and Edinburgh and twice that amount on the outskirts. Winds of between 35mph and 45mph are expected to exacerbate the wintry conditions. Aberdeen was expected to see at least 2cm of snow, with four times as much caused by drifts on the outskirts of the city. I live just outside Kilmarnock which is about 25mins by train from Glasgow and its been snowing since about 11pm. We already have around 2/3 inches of snow at least and its only 3am... It's still snowing a blizzard outside and its quite beautiful. not seen snow like this in years. I am going to update this post with photos of the weather here and it would be nice if other UK ressies would do the same. More to follow... Well, I'm a snow lover personally cause we dont get it much so it makes it kinda special. It'll prob be all gone by end of the day and replaced by rain, high winds and then ice by tonight so its nice to stay p late and watch it pile up p.s. where it not for French Canadians, Canada wouldnt be too bad... Chaoswynd	Posted - 2006.03.12 05:33:00 - [8] You know, those are some really nice pictures. The effect of that dark yellow light on everything gives them some really interesting atmosphere. Some of those are easily frame worthy, if you ask me.
