Every time i go in the changing room and try give myself a great big smile, a nice friendly one, i always fail, the best i can manage is a smirk or a sneer, right now i got, i don't know what i got, looks like i am on drugs, it's not a happy smile, i want the ability to have a great big smile, a real cheesy, friendly grin with all the teeth and wrinkles that entails, surely EVE isn't so serious a place as to have banned happy smiles right? what you guys think?  |

The ~mechanical~ reason is that our characters don't have a simulated mouth musculature. We can only open the jaw and pull the corners of the mouth, and that's not enough to simulate a smile as even a simple smile implies moving the lips. And a TRUE smile also involves the eyes and nose too.

It used to be easier to make genuine happy smiles (I used to have such smile!) but then CCP nerfed it.... I changed looks at some point, never managed to get my smile back 
Now if you make a 'smiling' character, it ends easely up in Creep/Pervert town. The kind of smile that says *I'm a sadist/I'm gonnagetcha!* Definetly not the happy kind!
