keep doing missions for this agent... you should get a lvl3 fairly soon

Try failing a mission on purpose to lower your faction and then build it back up. Sometimes that helps getting new agents. Its how i got some of my L2's.
Sadly we are in the same boat. Been doing missions for the same L2 agent forever. I hate her guts and her corporation and her grandmother. I think she's punishming me giving me the same missions over and over. I rarely leave the station anymore i have supplies all over the place and minerals at the station. So whatever she asks i'm done in an instant.
Bring X supply to Y station. To late had that mission 30 times already and i have 100 X at station Y waiting along with lots of Z B and O. Don't forget station R got lots of X Z B and O there too. Need minerals got them ready. I will get L3 agent if it kills me.
Incase you haven't noticed getting a L3 is starting to stress me out. - - - - - - - Disclaimer I take no responsibility for the spelling or grammar usage in the above statement Nor do i agree with its ideas and or claims Or even acknowledge its existance. |

Backing Syphin on his suggestion. I had been doing missions for a lvl2 for ages, corp standing 4 since I started with him, then I failed a mission due to the VIP drop bug, I then got a lvl3 after 3 missions or so. (May not be because of this though, but worth a try..) It only takes 2.5 successes ((also depends on your social skill) to make up for a failed mission, so it's no biggie. |

One thing I'd recommend here is to check that your corp has lvl 3 agents. If they do have lvl 3 agents, but have a chance of getting a referal if you visit the station they are in too. Personally, having checked that they existed in my corp, I just kept doing missions until after about 20+ lvl 1 and 2 agents I received a lvl 3 for my perseverance.

you could also try training your social and empathy skills. A lot of people seem to get better results with agent refferals once they have social lvl 4. ----------------------------------------- If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, shoot it, it might move later. |

With social I, my average # before referal is 40 missions.
It took 42 missions for lvl 1 to lvl 2.
I used the first lvl 2 I got. Did 58 missions for lvl 2 the got a lvl 3 (he sucked). I did 22 more missions (80 total) and got an awesome lvl 3 right next door to my lvl 2.
Lvl 3 has 15 min timer between missions which is the biggest drag. Some missions will take you longer than 15 and many will be under. So inevitably there is downtime in the form of waiting. 15 minutes is just long enough to be annoying as all hell, but just short enough to not really allow you to do much else.

I got my level 3 agent after 75 completed and 2 failed missions for my level 2 agent.
So just stick out with your agent and keep on compliting those missions (i failed both missions due to bugs and not intentionaly).
I noticed that agents usually refer you to agents from same corporation in that region so i guess they don't have anyone at level 3 there they will just send you to different corporation in near by (at least thats what happened to me).

Edited by: DeltroNomicoN on 22/09/2003 21:05:04 What if there is not lvl 3 agent for the corp i'm working for? Will he refer me to one from another corp? I'm gonna be ****ed if I just did 60+ missions for my L2 agent and I'm not gonna get a L3. It's the Top Down Corp btw.

Do a Show Info on the corp, then go to the Agents tab, then check to see if there are any Level 3 agents.
There might be none, or they might be too far away to be referred (AFAICR that bug should be fixed though).
If so, you could well be stuffed. You could continue doing missions in the hope that you'll get a referral from another corp, or you can find another Level 1 agent and start again.
Just to be clear, though, many people have done over 160 missions for Level 2 agents before getting a Level 3.
Also, Implants are not the be all and end all for agents. Sure, it's a nice payback for all those people who have invested in agents, but many (including myself) choose specific corps to work for because of specific things the agents can give.
For me, I'm choosing based on: - faction standing increases/decreases that match how I want to play - corp agents locations - services agents offer
I have lots of agents from a large corp who are well spread - this gives me lots of agent work. Level 3 15 minute timer is not an issue :-)
I have a good standing with a very small corp (5 agents) who offer some services which I am interested in using.
I am working for another corp solely because they are increasing a certain faction standing. When that has risen to the right level, I will stop doing work for them, and take on a new Level 1 agent with a specific corp, where I can get some other specific agent services.
Frankly, if you're doing agent missions just to get Implants, forget it. You'd be better off mining or NPC hunting and buying them off the market.
Cheers, TOM
