I once spent like 6 days in a pod trying to get out of hostile space (GNW timeframe)

About 60 seconds, normally my pod goes instasplat but sometimes i et to warp away and run.

Back in the day when bookmarks were NEW and not so common ... AND racing ships was fun ... I entered a race hosted by THE ENSLAVER  ... 110 jumps ... in a MAMMOTH ... came in 3rd from last ... only ahead of a RAVEN ... AND a POD
I forget the guy's name BUT at the start of the race ... SOMEONE set off 2 'named' smartties and put this guy in a pod  ... anyway i remember chatting with the pod pilot the WHOLE way ...
Forget the chaps name BUT it was a long trip

I have a press release from HM Dept. of Pedantry, pointing out that technically, you're in a pod all the time, it's just normally inside a ship. What are you doing with that lighter fluid? Aahh it burns.

same here funilly enough everytime i get implants i know im gonna get podded in the next 3 hours

Theres a trick to avoid getting podded, just make sure you have a planet, or the sun or something selected when you know your ship is going down (easiest way is to have them on your overview). The moment your ship goes boom start clicking the warp button, nothing will catch you as you will near insta warp. The only reason you should realy ever lose your pod is if there is a high amount of lag, or if your in a bubble.
