Found it. The system's name was "Hedaleolfarber" and is part of the cluster almost due east of Rens. You'll notice that system typically has 2x-3x the population of the surrounding stars. Lots of juicy miners who have been lulled into a sense of group security for those of you bold (or stupid ) enough to take a stab. I got about 500k in goodies from my lone Exequror kill.
Don't bother ransoming them though, they'll just block you

Belt traps tactics catch only rookie pirates, just like what you are training your classes protect you against rookie pvpers.
More devious belt baiting include dropping a can named "17:45" or tanking two NPC frigs while renaming your ship to one of the noobs in local. ("Noob's Brutix" if you're in a Brutix or whatever, absolutely noone falls for "Noob's Rifter - Tempest")

Very true. Most pirate retaliation seem to consist of battleship blobs chasing an insta'ing assault frig, with gang comms in local.

good read. Looks like carebears and pirates share "don't forget your insta" in their how to book. At least you realized you skimmed that chapter.

So you wasted his little rifter's time for a couple hours yet wasted the time of multiple battleships. Wow. I didn't realize people could be quite that stupid.

That would be me.
I had some tech II drones i wanted to test and the locals get a bit ****y when you use them for target practise (as you found out).
I almost had you one time but i selected 'jump at 15km' instead of 'jump at 100km' despite knowing you had chosen that range the last 2 times...rookie mistake on both our parts ________________ What you do is you store up the rage, let it fester while you gain strength, then use it to gank those weaker than you... and so the circle of life is complete |

Big words, really big words. Do you think losing a Rifter is a great loss to anybody? even a noob could replace it in a couple of days. ----------------------------------------------- Guys, we win some and we lose some, but please, can we win this one? THIS SIG R UNHACKABLE

Yeah, I kept selecting 100km figuring that even if someone selected that same range, they would have to have warped from the same cluster to be close.
Not thinking about the fact that you WERE in fact warping from the same cluster
Man I need more practice. Way too many mistakes that day

I think that's sweet mate getting in there and ****ing people off is fun hehe. But as for the red dwarf people, how sad of them to try so hard to get a frigate with bs's and offering loads of money and asking for loads of money for a frigate lol. If they had an AF or Inty they coulda got you. Guess they needed bs's to tank the gates though.

Heheh, central Molden Heath is a fun area to hang out in, thats for sure. Hedaleolfarber is a peculiar system, to be sure. Probably the most dangerous system for APs in Molden Heath - though that just makes it all the more fun when you make a kill there. :D I had a friend blow up on of their barges their the other day - Is there a ten mil bounty on Nova Satars corpse, too? I have a few hanging around in my hanger, I think.
To the OP - pack instas in the future. ^^
