Finally a reviewer with a clue, that also seems to have gotten his way to a battleship instead of a condor before telling everybody that EVE stinks.

Thats a short and balanced read, good for every guy and gal that wants to join EVE. I really do hope that CCP will be capable of addressing all their major problems and if they do that I hope they become like NOKIA (since they are developing a new idea that might change the world as we know it..the MMOG one. ) and continue supporting and evolving EVE and giving us other games like this one, (or just add-ons for this one ) they will be deserving it.

heh
I really miss that first feel of logging in to EVE (after at least an hour toying with character creation) and realising that there was so many things I had no knowledge of att all.
So much (seemingly) complicated stuff to figure out. Stunning graphics and a whole universe to play with.
Now, I think my senses gotten a bit dulled. But I still get kicks when finding new adventures or just find generally stupid things to try to do

Yeah, I agree. Those newbie days... I was so sure that I'd never learn what weapons are useful (everyone was asking about what weapons to use on armageddon, everyone seemed to answer Ion Blasters), their differences etc. I also almost promised that I'd never understand sensor strengths.

Those were your newbie days? In my newbie days the most one would get was a "huh? what's that?" when mentioning an Armageddon and our sensor boosters were still called "glasses"...
;-))
Hehe, nm the sensor boosters, but when I started, everyone was busy getting in his first cruiser =) no mention of BS's :)
But you are right, I really miss the days where you figured out something new every day :-/

remembers flying stuff like his old kestrel, and rifter a looooooong time ago. *shudders* I do miss zipping around with like 600m/s no after burners though...sure beats the Battleship's base speeds that can make you tear up.

I may be wrong, but one of the screenshots in that review shows splash damage from some missile, and as far as I can tell, that particular wording is a TEST Server message that hasn't been implemented on Live yet.
So, JarJar, I don't think the reviewer actually took the time to play the game till he got a battleship, on his own effort...
Otherwise it's an okay review, I guess. |

Well then if that's true someone gave him a raised skills charecter and let him loose on chaos so he could review the game...i bet alomst every good review has had something done like that.

Umm nope, I know the reviewer and he started out as a NoOB just like everyone else and is still playing the game
