Does anyone already tried it ?
Looking at the new bonus, the ship seems with a lot of potential ... better then the Zealot ???

Give the sac an extra low.
I mean, a sac is just a zealot with 2 less lowslots and a build in Energised Adaptive :) --- Slot 10 Akemons Modified 'Noble'Zet 5000 implant +8% Armour FREE |

Agreed, the sac needs another low or mid to give it any real use... or maybe a small drone bay buff :D

Give it back the RoF bonus for Missile launchers, take away the laser damage bonus and give it an EM missile damage bonus. Then its usefull. But as long as a certain wont respond or even care about such concerns, its hopeless that it will have its heavy tackler role back. ------ Ö Ship lover

Nah - dont change it :) I will feel stupid for exchanging my sacri for 2 geddons otherwise ;p
Other than that - check RMR ship setups. There was sth about new sacri before.

Won't pay for it, since greedy producers saw fit to cash in on the changes (~140m now, doubled in price).

Maybe it has something to do with the demand increasing, thus forcing the price upwards? Economics 101.
I personally think the sacriledge changes are stupid--it simply makes the ship into a wannabe zealot.
The sacriledge should be a different ship, not just a cheap version of an already existing one. For example, how about 4 missile slots and two missile damage bonuses? That would make it pretty decent.

Sacriliege can do some decent damage plus...u can fit cap injector and 2 med neutralisers...
With this setup it should kill a zealot...

QFT
The challenge is to make it useful without making it: A wannabe zealot (damage/RoF laser bonus + 4 turrets) An wannabe eagle (+1 missile slot, +5% to EM missile dam) A wannabe cerberus (+10% optimal, shieldbonus instead of armor) All of which it's in danger of becoming.
The current changes make it just as useful as the zealot, by copying the zealot's setup and adding on a few hardpoints/hp/resists/cap. That's not what we want to see. All the other HACs are radically different from tier 1 to tier 2.
My solution, which I stand by from the original sac proposal: Cruiser:+7.5% to armor/shield resists per level Cruiser:-10% to laser capacitor use per level HAC:+5% to missile RoF per level HAC:+10% to laser optimal range per level add 200-300 cap 4 turrets 3 missiles No slot changes
The extra resists and the extra cap (besides having reasons to exist in the description + lore) give it back its specialty: being several times the tank of the rest of the HAC fleet, a grown up AF that won't be killed easily. At the same time, it restores the khanid heritage of dual shield/armor tanking and missiles playing a significant role. Cap/shield booster combo, meet CPR / RMR stacking penalty on malus' / shield booster combo.
And it does enough damage to make a big dent in the enemy, if not quite as much as the zealot.

Patch means that the Sacrilege now deals much more dmg, closer to the Zealot. But still can tank forever better than any other Hac.
What are ppl confused about?

Can't the phantasm with 3 heavy pulse and 3 missile launchers outdamage the sac? I know it doesnt have the resistances, etc etc, but should the sac at least be able to outdamage the faction cruisers? |

Why does everyone hate the sac? It's no zealot, but a lot of ships aren't.
It's not better than a zealot, and it's not worse.
Inject it. look at the Sac's big cargo. And really, this ship has a lot of grid. When I look at my Sac, and I see that it has 4 t2 focused, 2 heavy launchers, a burner, an injector, and two t2 medreps, I'm pretty impressed that I crammed all that on and had still run out of CPU first.
Personally I think you're in a pretty cool ship when a Deimos with Null ammo hits you for like 9 damage, but I guess that's just me.
It does fine damage too. People stand it next to zealots and then say that its damage sucks. It doesnt, it's just fine.

It has some very good advantages. A super tank, 4 med slots, and the drones... and now has the damage mod bonus to the turrets ...

I like the armor hp. I preffered the launcher rof bonsu tbh.
If they had changed the *range* bonus to a laser damage bonus, that would have been cool. ----------------

My Zealot, though I just stick to my Absolution now, tanked just as good as my Sacrilege. This was the case since the Zealot is smaller and faster than the Sacrilege and it gets more low slots for a tank.

The Sacrilege might work, but currently it and the Zealot are almost identical, though the Zealot is still superior in most cases (tanking included). The only real advantage I see to the Sacrilege is the extra medium slot for EW and the extra highs for Nos. To be honest this is not different enough in my opinion to actually have a different ship :P. One might as well fly a curse if one wants EW.
Tell me this though, what in the name of all that is holy is the point of the missles slots then? It might as well not even have missle slots now.
All in all the Sacrilege doesn't suck, but one is alot better off flying another type of ship in my opinion like, say, an Absolution .

Edited by: Metacannibal on 15/03/2006 14:21:10 to make the sacrilege good you need to play its advantages. its a very very strong hac then, so think of a good setup along this line:
- two util slots vs one in the highs - one more medslot, boost boost - DRONEBAY (web+ecmdrones 4tw) - truckload of grid+cap
if you even out the resists on the zealot you are pretty dead even on the lowslots, on the zealot you have better agility and speed and damage, on the sacrilege you have above advantages, each of them pretty interesting especially in "0.0 reality" given the realities of ecm tacklers and ganksquads. i think the reason why the sacri sux according to most forum trolls is that its more difficult to setup and not as straightforward as the zealot.

ROFL. You guys dont get it do you - all hacs have 15 slots. slots wont be added to this ship. Try thinking of something else. ----------------

i have owned 2 sacs and plan to get another, and as i have lost both of them in pvp i still think it is a good ship. im being a bit stubborn tho as after training my missle skills all up to 5 im at pains to revert back to lasers cos surely the lasers will affect the cap and therefore ruin the tank.
im just gonna ignore the new bonuses and continue to use missles and nos, with teck2 launchers and missles and a balistic mod u can do quite reasonable damage while maintaining a good tank even without the rof bonus.
im sure u all think this stupit but i like the nos-missle set up and i spent ages training for it so bugger it. and as for the ship being similar to the zealot well its still alot cheaper and no matter how crap the nerf has made it it still looks alot cooler. and im a crap pvper and i cannot be arsed to have to cope with continually swapping crystals over while im really trying to concentrate on panacking.

Edited by: Yaman on 17/03/2006 23:40:39 Edited by: Yaman on 17/03/2006 23:40:16 SACRILEGE IS PERFECT!
I JUST completed my setup for it with new bonuses. I do have to field test it yet though. If it can't hold the cap (which i HIGHLY doubt) then I have to go back to an alternative setup which is STILL REAL GOOD. It's the closest thing to perfect...actually it's the same thing only a modification for pvp or npc.
The only thing I can say is I've left a medium slot flexible that makes the difference between pvp and pve.
This setup is posted NO WHERE. (at least to my knowledge and I've been looking) Everyone disregards the Sacrilege and thinks the Zealot is better..but I got news for you..
I've setup the Sacrilege for MAX dmg and MAX defense. There simply is no other way to squeeze anything out of the poor girl. I've trained all my skills up to lvl5.
Well not adv. weapons upgrades BUT cpu isn't where we're short with the sacrilege.
I used to sell guides and I think I'm gonna get back into it. This one is just tooooo good to let go. Course EVE crashes on me randomly so I don't really play much lol... it's not like I'm going to get to surprise anyone with the setup. So I'll let it go for a price.
This is my most updated guide. Some of you may know me for the other guides I have. Those are a good starting place, but have been outdated.
THIS is brand new and covers the Sacrilege in its entirety with the new bonuses. I'll be writing a very comprehensive guide highlighting weaknesses (pff if any..no no there are) strengths, tactics, other ideas - trials that didn't work, etc.
I've compiled a lot of info from the forums and did my homework. Rest assured I've taken all the good notes from the forums and added my own two cents.
I used to charge 1mil for cruiser guides.. unsure of what I'll charge for this...
