Taint Stain Center for Advanced Studies Gallente Federation 0	Posted - 2014.01.05 22:10:00 - [1] - Quote The Following Fit is Broken, It cannot be pointed / scrammed / tackled by anything when it comes through a stargate. it can dps / point @ 30km avoiding being neuted / tackled and can simply run away from basically every engagement its not winning. The malediction is the only interceptor capable of doing this, with a minor possibility of the crow being able to do a similiar fit but being very gimped due to its damage bonus being kinetic only. All other interceptors cannot dps at anywhere near this range and are severely gimped achieving this low of a warp align time. I'd like to take a moment and compare this to the Dramiel of Olde, which you could at least scare into gatecrashing, and it got nerfed, these things run around in packs unregulated and unstoppable. Here's the fit, anyone feel free to test it, use it, exploit it, and get this things align speed nerfed. It's good at engaging many different targets... but it's not invulnerable. Fast drones, high-tracking turrets, and missiles are the bane of this ship. It CAN be killed. Easily. But it can also disengage from a fight just as much. Then again... so can most interceptors. I see no problem with it. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective.

(drawback, only 10km range) Lots of fun, but hardly foolproof. Your fit is really vulnerable to faster ceptors/frigs, or anything with alpha and good tracking. Those I-stabs are not healthy for your sig radius. Even with 1.9s align, someone did manage to get enough Sebos to lock me, but failed to land a point. Really good for scouting, maybe even a bit OP for scouting, but overall, its not that unreasonable.

It is a **** fit for any kind of fight against someone at a keyboard. 1.9s align time interceptors can be caught coming through a gate, I have been pointed by RSBed keres and interceptors a few times. I don't understand the original post.

The only saving grace I have is that goons are worse. Every time I have tried this same method in drones/provi/fountain/wherever, I get wrecked. Most groups in eve are able to deal with interceptors. edit : if you'll notice how many pods I get without a bubble -- it is near 1/3 of the dudes on my recent killboard. I only get those pods because the ratters in question are completely afk. Most of the other kills I get are people who alt-tab back to game when they are hitting structure alarms. No amount of game balancing will fix an active ship being able to kill an afk one.

Gangs of Mals still work, but gangs of Rifters work too, so I don't see what is broken about them.
