There have been so many topics claiming to solve the problem of AFK cloaking it's not even funny. At any rate, I see AFK cloaking as a balanced mechanic when you factor in local.

Why would a new type of probe be needed? Any existing type of probe can already decloak and detect a cloaked ship. Simply move your probe within 2000 meters of the cloaky and voila, he loses cloak.

You see, that's where you are wrong. This isn't about the art of cloaking, this is about an idea to present as a game function. It's you who, and all the other trolls here, can't simply read a thread for it's content and not you're interpretation. You're pulling something out of this that it's not.
