I have two accounts and I was wondering if this would 1)work and 2)how fast it would raise my sec status.
first part: I make two newbie alts on each account. Then one continously pods the other in a low sec system so that his sec status tanks to -10.
second part: my main with his -4.3 status goes to the now -10 alt and pods him repeatedly in order to raise his status.
How fast would the main's sec status rise?

you do not get sec increase from shooting people with bad sec status.
it is as you showed way to easy to exploit.

Your mains sec status will rise by about 0.5 for every time you pod your -10 alt.

damn and there was me grinding away in 0.0, when i cud do that instead. i guess i'll go and buy all my isk on ebay as well, i suppose now then my only reason for logging onto eve then is to look at the pretty graphics. Anybody wanna wipe my botty for me as well?

The only problem is it doesn't show up on your char info this way until the next downtime, so even though you ARE actually raising your sec status, for some reason the system doesn't tell you - is weird...
But as soon as the next DT hits you're fine and dandy...
I found to get up from -7.9 I had to kill my main about 150 times though (0.5 per kill doesn't seem right)...
So my advice is to start right after a downtime, kill your main hmm maybe 200-250 times, then reap the rewards after the next downtime when Rens in all her glory is opened up to you...
Just out of interest - how much does your clone cost? Only ask cos killing npcs will net you a tidy profit where as this could cost you (litteraly) an arm and a leg...

Ah more ammunition for the case to restrict it to 1 character per account.Multiple account alts are fine but people using the 3 character accounts exploiting the game mechanics like this....destroys it.
So best way to deal with it.,..if someone wants to use such mechanic exploits make them pay by having to have more than 1 account.

since when does this have anything to do with maturity?? basically you can't bothered to fix your sec status by the usual means and are looking for a quick way out so it seems, which is why ppl are objecting.
it was your choice to get to -4.3 or whatever it is, live with it or raise it without asking about naff,possible exploits. btw i wudn't wanna change my outlaw status for all the beer in the off licence. in fact at -5.6 its time i got it back down again.

it isnt that easy it takes time, but look at it like this:
I fyou want to npc from -4.3 and up to 0.0 it takes a week or two in 0.0.
But if you pod your alt, you get no security gain before you have done it,
593 times. And you need to escrow all the bodies to a guy named Oveur, with
the info: "UN-NERF SEC" as description. After he claims it, your sec will be
+10.

People please stop saying this doesn't work, as it IS TRIED AND TESTED!
I'm looking forward to hearing how the OP is safe and sound in 1.0 after using this technique despite all you nay sayers giving false info..
To the OP - please keep us all informed about how this goes. Especially interested to hear how many times you had to whack your alt off to achieve a positive sec status. As I said before I did it 200 times or so to be safe. Took a while, so would be nice to know if I have to do it again exatly how many times you really need to do it...

Yes but jesus this is like the 0.4% increase in sec status from 750k BSm..YOU DONT GO TO THE FORUMS SPREADING IT AROUND

To be fair its about time this info got out... Although the risk of nerfing is really quite high I would advise anyone that is thinking of doing this to get doing it right away. I know a GM has advised the use of an alt for this purpose as a 'grey area' that may or may not be shut off form us at any time (I'll dig out the transcript if I really have to but we're talking a while back of chat logs)...

I use alt too because of grey area thing.
It think we should all hurry up and selfdestruct our pods before they nerf it.
Maybe some ppl would be kind enough to set up killing centres where the process of ratio increasing can be speeded up in mass suicides via smartbombs.
