Stillwater Corporation and Associates are delighted to issue this RSVP invitation to the Grand Re-Opening on the fourth anniversary of the initial opening of the Ivory Tower, happening this weekend.
Content.
For those not familiar with the facility, the Ivory Tower is a hotel complex located in the Fua constellation, Domain region. Opened in YC 112, it has been a bright beacon for 4 years now, and a home to Stillwater Corporation and its associates. In the last few months, the complex has undergone some key upgrades and is now ready for its Grand Re-Opening.
Alongside the habitation suites for its tenants and guests, the complex also it also offers other entertainment and leisure venues, including small shops and bars along the Main Concourse, relaxing treatments at its Spas, an eclectic offer of wares and merchandise at the Bazaar. Its Mediatheque offers something for those more interested in academic pursuits, while the Gardens offer a leisure area filled with sprawling flora and fauna for those seeking a more quiet, serene, experience. Tours of other facilities may be arranged on request. The Ivory Tower is accessible via Interbus per standard protocols.
Dress code.
The Grand Reopening shall take place at the Capsuleer Pavilion near the docking bay. The dresscode; Party wear. Morning dress. Appropriate costumes unlikely to offend.
Ill-considered or inappropriately dressed guests will still be admitted, but may suffer public shaming on GalNet channels after the event.
Spirit.
Guests are requested to be discreet about the nature of any employment contracts with their subordinates, and can be assured that Stillwater will be equally discreet.
This is intended as a primarily social event, but limited business talk may occur.
Security.
Security will be present, unobtrusive and effective. Do not expect to sneak your Mega Modal Pulse Laser into the room undetected. At no point will any guest be restrained from leaving. Stillwater Corporation reserves the right to request individual guests leave if they are causing disquiet or disruption.
RSVP.
This will not be an open public event. Invitations to fellow Family members, friends, associates and business partners have already been sent out.
Those interested in being included that haven't received one may contact Laria Raven (me!) in order to get their RSVP processed.

Unfortunately, construction details for the Ivory Tower are not in the public domain. I can state that the Ivory Tower does adhere to all relevant codes and good practices.

Thanks to everyone who came. I believe the party to have been a success, in that I didn't get my nose broken and I did get to dance.
The Ivory Tower is now fully open, and capsuleers are welcome to visit the Pavilion, either for purely social or for business reasons.
The text of the welcoming speech I gave is included below.

I would just like to take this opportunity to bid you all welcome to the newly remodelled Ivory Tower. I'm told that I'm forbidden from calling it "Leo's Golden *ahem*" any more.
Some of you are old friends, some of you are new friends, and some of you are people that we have had a chequered relationship with in the past.. A few of your might class yourselves as our enemies. All of you are welcome. With the opening of this facility, I'd like to take the opportunity to turn the page on some past errors, some past misunderstandings, some past frictions. There will always be areas of policy and action that lead to confrontation and disagreement, and that is unavoidable. But I hope that, we can perhaps establish better relationships across the cluster, and help to bring about a future where all people can live in security and prosperity.
But enough about boring politics. Please enjoy the evening, the drinks, at least some of the company. And feel free to compliment me on my dress. Tours of the tower facilities can be arranged via the concierge service. I hope you have a good evening, and feel free to return to the Tower in future. We always aim to be excellent hosts.

It was a very enjoyable event. No one was murdered or assaulted in any way, to my knowledge. Sadly, I seem to have tainted myself by association. Ah well. I suppose those that believe that do not know me as well as they like to think. |
