Arrggh.....
Let us know who the guilty party is and I'll give a Tachyon beam or two.... up the bum!!!
I'm sorry to see you go mate... I still remember day 1 of retail with you, Stav and me ninja mining Ark like mad in noob ships.
Sad day all round in fact. Dont be a stranger... pop into IRC when you can and say hello. I'm in Pulsar Defence Technologies now (basically to prevent what happened to you in fact) in channel #Pulsar .

I agree with my CEO here. It's sad to see such a noble and dedicated player leave.

Sucks to see you leave.. Yet another of the ppl I knew in beta gone.. Thanks for the loans :D
:/ I bet I'll be alone in eve when tech lvl 5 arrives..
Have a nice life outside of Eve :) I'm sure I'll see ya at some of bre's parties :P
I reccommend you train a rank 8 skill to lvl 5 instead of selling your account or cancelling it... (or hand it over to somebody to train for you for a few years :) until you have free time again)

Very sorry to see one of the more mature players leave like this.
I hope [insert foul language] Omniwar is happy now...
But why not just put the game in the freezer for some weeks to months?
The game lends itself perfectly for long holidays. You didn't sound like you couldn't cough up the dough anymore.
I'd say just take a break for a while, play in your holidays and weekends. And just see how it all will develop.
It's amazig how a couple of weeks off makes the game more fun again.

Thank for your kind words.
I'm selling my secondary character who is really unknown, just a mining/refining sidekick.
However Riddari is going into the freezer, perhaps he'll return in December.
The loss of assets is a far lesser factor than the timesink that EVE is. I have certain goals I need to achieve in the next 9 months and to be able to do that I need to cut down on EVE.
Yes, I'm probably too competitive to just play in my cruisers or frigates at weekends... this is why I need a cold turkey
An hour every saturday would soon turn into a whole weekend of EVE. That is a luxury I can't afford now (timewise).
There are still 20 days until the account is cancelled, I'll be logging on to flip the skills and then put on a BIG one before the right date hits. I do doubt that it trains while my character is inactive?
Best of luck to all and yes, the primary motive is fun.
Have fun guys and gals.

It won't train when you discontinue the account. I'd have a mate pay for it (or yourself) if you can afford it and keep training till you have the time to play again.
That is, if you'll play again.
Sad to see you go, Riddari, shame I couldn't get more acquainted with you.

It's a shame that such a respected player feels he has to leave because of the dishonesty of another. Although I didn't get to know you in game as a member of the FA I'd like to say good luck and all the best.

Ya, you should loan your character to a trusted individual and just let em continue your char for ya until you decide to possibly come back

I have met Omniwar long time ago, he seamed like a really cool guy. After I lost my first cruiser he offered to help me mine, for a new one, even though he wasn't in my corproation and I have known him for couple of hours.
It is sad to see that one person would do such a thing.
I feel your pain Riddari, and your decision to stop activley playing eve is understandable. Many times I log on EVE just to see how my corp is doing, and to see if my guys need help. Once you're robbed of everything, the teamwork doesn't have the same meaning anymore.
I wish you good luck Ridarri. -

Are you sure Discorporation ? I know Yakzan set to a 40 day skill just before his account expired... I'd think he'd know this kinda stuff :P i've never actually figured out whether it keeps training or not after you stop paying..

Well I'm keeping the account alive. I'm now about to delete EVE from my PC to eliminate the risk of logging in
A friend of mine will be flipping skills for me so I should still be with the front runners if I return in December.
Have fun.

Sorry to see you go mate. Good luck with the B.Sc. and job--but do consider returning... your words and presence benefit the community, and people will be more than happy to see you on even once a week for some tech 2 fun.
Having had a few of our own disappear, I'm somteimes reminded that often: "We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except the memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that our eyes once watered" (R&G are Dead)
Yet the fun you've had and the relationships you seem to have developed in Eve will remain substantive no matter the date of your final log
