Introduction
I had been playing eve for 2 years with my main roaming around doing pvp and pve alikes. However recently due to RL issues and my career, I can only play the game for like 2-3 hours per day. However that doesn't stop me from looking up at spreadsheets during work and I notice that there are industrialists who require liquidity to set up their business. Hence I decided to offer a partial banking service for the eve online industrial community. I hope we can do business smoothly and transistion this project of mine into something bigger ;). As for abit personal info, I'm an accounting and finance degree holder working in a boring accounting firm, and hailing from a tiny peninsular known as Malaysia.. Services
1.) Collaterized Loan
Do you have assets in high sec that your just too lazy to sell or aren't willing to sell but you require isk for a certain project or carrier? Halastar Liquidity & Banking Co. will provide you liquidity based on how much asset you are willing to set as collateral. This will be done on a case by case basis.
1a.) Application for Collaterized Loan
Contract your asset to Halastar Sayashi for evaluation ( set the amount to 999 billion if your afraid of scam ) or you can use evepraisal. I will evaluate and evemail you how much I will offer you in liquidity isk. A better form of collateral will likely yield more liquidity and also better interest rates ;) If you like the terms, contract me the collateral along with the agreed isk as payment for it. I will give you an Account Number for both of our record keeping and you can send the isk to me during your first month payment along with the account number in the reason box. Collateral will be contracted back to you along with the final installment payment so there won't be any scam issues for both of us.
*Currently I will start offering for medium scale business but will consider expanding wider when the time arrive ;) I will also list the names of person who borrowed from the company here for reference
Interest Calculation = Simple Interest Formula, Not compounded
Interest Rates
1 - 2 Month Loan = 5% monthly
3 - 4 Month Loan = 6% monthly
5 - 6 Month Loan = 7% monthly
More than 6 Month, case by case basis
Note on Collateral Collateral must be in Jita 4-4 or the main Trade Hub in Amarr, Dodixie or Rens
If the collateral is in Any High Sec location, I will charge an additional 2% banking fee for it.
No Dead End High Sec location will be accepted.
You can use Red Frog Red Frog for their jump service
There are plans for uncollaterized loan, but i figure to start this first and see how it goes ;) Any comment that is constructive and relevant is welcome to help me improve this service. |

I cannot duplicate my interest model entirely based on real world models due to a few factors that is restricted in Eve... * no central authority, etc *
The assumption is that the longer a person is holding his loan = higher risk ( inflation etc ). higher uncertainty.
However if too many people complain, I would gladly revise my interest model to those commonly adopted by real world banks. ;)

1. Your interest rates are high in the current market, unless you are looking at quite small loans
2. Longer terms generally reduce rates rather then increase them. This is not a reference to real world practice for the sake of fun. The risk is generally set when the money leaves your wallet. Longer terms mean less time and opportunity cost for a lender therefore more competitive rates can be offered.
3. You are not a bank, you are a lender, and bank is still a toxic word around here that is unlikely to help your business.
4. You might want to post your borrowers names here to show you are doing business, but they might not want their names to be disclosed.
5. It would give people a better idea of what sort of player you are in the market if you can state what sort of bankroll you have or what your maximum loans are. "medium scale business" doesn't really help in this regard as it could mean quite a wide range.

This may feel off-topic, but why did you decide to become an Accountant if you think it's boring as hell?
A lot of aspiring industrialists, or people asking for loans, haven't got much to offer as collateral. Are you going to expand to uncollateralized loans? |

I thought I start off with Collaterized Loans but I will expand into Uncollaterized Loans once I get some customers ( 5-ish ) I will offer uncollaterized loans ( albeit limited amount ).

Have you started offering Un-collaterized loans yet?
I currently station trade and have been doing so for the last 7-8 weeks, profits are decent, but I want more!
I'm looking to step up a gear, still station trading, but dealing with higher priced 'items' with a bigger isk spread between buy/sell.
This however requires a jump in capital to set up, and fulfill, the necessary buy orders.
I would be looking for an investment in the 5-10Billion isk range.
My current sell orders/liquid/collateral total is sitting at 10Bill isk and I will continue to trade the current items I am trading, in addition to the new items. I trade in one station, so there is no movement of stock and I only update orders 3/4 times a day.

Just a quick courtesy post for Halastars service.
Smooth discussions and an offer was made, however due to a good weeks trading freeing up some isk, my liquid isk has jumped to 5Bill isk giving me sufficient funds to 'go it alone'
I thank Halastar for his time and prompt reply to all mails and apologise for not going into business with him this time. |

I don't think there is anything to test, your just gonna expose yourself to risk, otherwise from the looks of it this looks like a pretty solid service.
