Youkoso.
Nothing important really, just something I've been craving for. I'd like to have the nebulae and the visuals on the wormhole celestial object to be updated, to have the same beauty as the K-Space ones have. Spending most of my time inside the hole has made me long for the days of the exquisite star filled backgrounds, and the ability to spot regions off in the distance.
As far as the celestial object goes, It would be nice if the effects of it were updated similar to the stargate's. I know the jump animation is the same, but the object itself could use a bit of a tune up.

they could add the special efefcts to stars in the background, like way off int he distance you could see pulsars or magnetaurs etc. and you can be like .." Just think, we fought at that pulsar just yestderday..."
The colored nebulaes would be necessary to keeping it easy to identify classes of WH...unless you wanna make life harder for people ;) The Wormhole Kid |

That's my opinion too. I love how they are right now, so 'oniric'. If anything, I'd like them to gain high res and detail, perhaps even some remodeling, but I would prefer them to still be kinda like being in the middle of a nebula (K-space reaches to the very edge of some nebulae, but never inside them); they're very based on real life sky clouds (which leads to amusing cloud watching). Perhaps changing a bit from system to system, like being in different parts of the same nebula...
Also, perhaps some rethinking about class-specific colors. C1 are blue-green, C2 deep blue, C3 white, C4 yellow, C5 orange, C6 red. I guess there's a relationship between class and more or less aggresive colors, but C3 being white is kind of lol. Perhaps white-blue-green-yellow-orange-red? Also, I'd like to see a purple nebula... That could be a C7... if they ever come to exist. |

In that case:
- Alliance Bookmarks.
- Black Hole to Two-Static, and whatever the consensus was in that Black Hole thread.
- Redesign the Moa/Imicus hulls.
- Don't let null CSM nerf Archon's because they can't figure out that drone allocation is the issue.
- The "white-blue-green-yellow-orange-red" C1-C6 nebulae color scheme seems cool.
- Clone swapping.
- All known glitches and bugs with wormholes mentioned in the last whatever months :P
- Whatever else we complain about... conflict drivers or whatever, just don't break wormholes

I would like to have each WH updated to the high ress versions, plus having a visual change on the celestial object of the wormhole to better reflect the class of it. I agree, C3 being white is weird, and the C1 and C2 are too similar and can be easilly confused. In addition, I would like, regardless of enviromental effect or not, to have an "animated" background, pretty much like how black holes pulse every now and then. Can you imagine a pulsar system...well, pulsing and having the gas spiral around the singularity? Oh man, it'd be pure sex. |

The design of the sites really does need working on. My system runs fine, even in decent fleets, but as soon as your in one of the wormhole combat sites with a gas cloud, good bye framerates.

Could the graphics folks make the black hole picture in high res?
I'm not sure if it's possible, but is there a way you could give it a little action too?? The pulsar (I think that's the one) kind of spews out the blue flash periodically. I think it would be awesome if the black hole graphic quivered occaisionally or maybe some kind of spastic contaction. Just a quick twitch - nothing too grand.

I don't think this should be a big priority. I already heared CCP say that the current views are already in the same quality as the HS/LS/0.0 ones. But they seem more random, you can't recognise in wich constellation, class of wormhole you are by looking at the back ground. The question is if they would change that, say that you can see in the background(not at a wormhole) in wich type of hole you are. Wouldn't that take away the mistery that has lead us in here in the first place? It should not be about making things easy , just cutting away "boring" parts . Eve is hard and that is why we stick with the game, it is an acomplischment just to be able to thrive in here! |

Yes, I also find C1's and C2's difficult to distinguish just by color, and I'm pretty sure many other players do too. For me, white is a fairly peaceful color, although WH's white has shades that manage to make it uncomfortable, as it should. I guess C1-white, C2-blue, C3-green (only green; examples: 1,2,3,4) would put them more in line with the rest of class colors, following a rainbow order.
System effects could also use a small visual update too ^_^ Don''t get me wrong, they're awesome, but perhaps it's time for a little update. I'd like to see black holes being more similar to what can be seen in these videos (1,2,3) (current ones seem more like a dark cloud in the middle rather than an object). I'd give them a more apparent light distortion.
Chitsa Jason wrote:With CSM summit incoming im definitely watching this post and taking notes :) =3
About system effects, and people asking for background changes when moving around in W-space, I have a little idea. Since system effects increase the higher the class, we could say it's because we are getting closer to the object. I've always imagined system effects are not located in the same system we're in (or we'd be dead lol), but instead in a very close system. So what if the objects' size in the skybox actually increased with system class, due to getting closer to it? So that in a C6 you could feel the inmense power of nature uncomfortably close to you, in congruence with the extreme system effects. I'd also find cool to see these objects from other angles, so that I know I'm looking at them from different systems.
I'd also like to see slight changes on the background nebulae themselves when changing constellations, so I can see I'm in a different part of the same nebula. My interpretation, as posted before, is that in W-space we truly are in the middle of a nebula and not on it's edge (as happens in K-space).
For your eye-candy: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. I don't know what CCP thinks about adding new, higher classes for wormholes, but I really think they could be purple (or even maroon) to match the rainbow scale. I personally love the 6th example. Hey, it could even replace one of the current colors in case of a revamp (although I'd prefer it to be a new class). |
