The line is "War never changes." Traditionally meant to be taken figuratively, it is a rumination on the inevitability of war and its devastating consequences. War causes death, suffering, and destruction. But there is a group who has twisted that phrase and made it something wonderful. The war never changes. It is, indeed, called the "Forever War" by its participants. But they are willing combatants, brought together by a mutual love of action and explosions. There is death and there is destruction, but it is transitory and causes no suffering, at least not long term.
The subject of this week's Community Spotlight, Red vs Blue, has evolved war to an easy going passtime and made something spectacular.
