k, i had enuf of guys that fly into system, warp from belt to belt, find someone ratting, and kill him, knowing hes tanked for ratting and hes being targeted and shot at by at least one NPC. [of course, the reason for that is that i lost a ship]
therefore i declare personal war on them. [note!!! only if its not against alliance standings]
list starts with just one name plz do add more pirate names!

I smolder with generic rage!
What exactly is a pirate supposed to do? Not fight anybody that is: Set up for mining? Set up for NPCing? Set up for PvP but has the wrong resists tanked?
Also you could have avoided this if you checked local and ratted while aligned to a safespot or something similar Your Sig is to large, please read the forum rules - Ductoris |

What do you expect them to do? Attack you with covetors shooting exactly the types of damage you are tanked against?

In light of this. From now on I promise to never kill anouther miner or NPC'r in an unfair fight.
As of today, I will not use damage types the I know my targets are not tanked against.
I will not use any ewar, as it provides me with a great advantage.
I will make sure to enage at a range most comfortable for my target.
I will clear out the NPc's for my target first, and allow him to recharge his cap before engaging.
I will refit if I doubt my target can use tech 2 guns as I can.
I will convo my target, ensuring he has fair warning I'm in the system, least I be accused of taking advantage of his inattentivness.
I will not engage targets who are in a lesser ship class then my self.
On second thought. Nah, I'm going to take every advantage that I can get. I'm also never going to allow someone to go unmolested because they are flying an indy or barge. I'll fight you on even terms, but don't expect me to back off if I'v caught you unawares.

When you get down to it piracy is about two things: Making isk and having fun. Killing someone who can't really damage you fulfills the first of these two goals, or at least has the chance to. Your Sig is to large, please read the forum rules - Ductoris |

They hunt to survive. Do you need to kill to survive? No. No NPCers, no miners at least.
Youre doing it to "pwn" someone or for the iskies. Be honest about it.

Why not kill that person is the better question. I'm not an empire pirate, so keep that in mind when you read this.
If I see someone in space, the first question that comes to mind is "Is this person going to shoot me?" If the answer is anything a certain no, then they have now become a target.
Shuttle, indy, frig, noob ship, doesn't matter. Unless I know for a fact your a friend, then its in my best interests to kill you. For all I know our spying, or moving items for an enemy, making instas, mining my ore. Doesn't matter what your doing, because if your not helping me directly, then your hindering me, and perhaps helping my enemy.
Where's the satisfaction? Well depends on how you look at it. Every kill for me damages my enemy, which is good in a competitive MMOG. There's also the chance of some good loot. I've killed rookie ships who's hold have been filled with megacyte. Shuttles are often used to carry BPO's from place to place. And not to mention, many NPC'rs use really nice gear, since NPC'ing for the most part is riskless.
And then there's the fact that I like a good fight. sure killing a weaker target isn't really a good fight. But often times the hunt to find a miner before he notices you in local is fun enough. Or killing a indy, because opening the loot can is like xmas, you never know whats in there. And my favorite, is attacking someone when your at equal odds, either through numbers, fitting or ship class, thats why I PVP. The rest is just iceing.

I really don't get why people post these threads here. I know it's called crime and punishment, but really only the criminals hang out here. And the only time a pirate cares about easy pickings is when they are the easy pickings, other than that they couldn't care less. So to the OP I wouldn't bother posting a complaint, just keep your own personal KOS list and learn from these incidents. Also you could try ratting in a PVP set up, I mean chances are if you can kill a player then you can kill a rat with it. Thats my .2 isk worth anyhow.

The entire point of pirating is killing for ISK.
And the entire point of killing for ISK is maximizing profit and minimizing risk.
This usually involves... SURPRISE... killing enemies that probably won't be able to kill your ship...

Here's my reasons:
I like surprising people and blowing them to structure within 10 seconds flat.
I grin while I do it.
And I ransom people because it's fun and profitable.
Oh yeah. I'm one of the ones you're making war unto as well.
... hehe make unto.

I grow weary of people flying in space where this is likely to happen and refusing to take responsibility for their own safety.

Hi,
Sorry to hear you lost your ship...not. But a victim posting on the forums, thats the greatest kick, the icing on the cake. So suck it in, don't smack and don't post on the forum but and let your gunz talk in the game or hire Mercs.
Cheers,
