First of all the Guristras dont jam right away, if you have drones out and put them on the guristas they will even fight while you are jammed.
For the even slower people, use FoF's if ya dont have the patience to tank a cycle out and then kill tank the next cycle out and kill the rest. If you need like 12 cycles your way out of your league anyways.
Better to try and fail, then to fail due to not trying |

Originally by: Jonis Sinmaker They don't jam you they dampin you. That's why when you turn on your sensor boosters you can target them again. They are dropping your targeting range on you so you loose the lock. Just make sure you got sensor boosters on when you attack them and you should be good.
They jam you. Look at the message you get next time you try to lock one after getting 'dampened'.

Np mods affect jamming, not, nothing, nada, zero, zilch, zip...etc.
I had someone remote boost my ferox to over 100 sensor strength, and I was still jammed as often as without them.
It does seem to use BASE and ONLY base sensor strength though. MY Ferox jams less than my Harpy, which isn't saying much, but it was noticable.

I love this thread for the simple reason that I hate jamming.
I say ECM is way overpowered but if you complain about overpowered ECM in the ships and modules forum then you have 100 Caldari claiming it's not overpowered. Scorpion is weakest ship, blabla. When it comes to NPC then suddenly ECM is overpowered and they would prefer to be cap drained because NOS doesn't hurt (contrary to all nerf the NOS threads in that forum). At least the Guristas don't use ECM as a giga-wcs and stay there even after their succesful cycle.
Yes, I am aware that NPC are not players and it seems ECCM doesn't work properly. Nevertheless I find this thread very amusing.

It is fairly annoying especially on large cruiser spawns. 18 cruisers all jamming one after another. I have to admit you only need to get one or two volleys off to pop a cruiser but still. Its just down right tedious.
Having every ship jam, come on, variation please.

Brilliant advice!
Unless you dont fly a raven in which case it sucks

Hm...Omnis might work. Have to do some testing.

What was mentioned, IIRC, was ECCM, not backup arrays. In any case, I've noticed that a gravimetric backup array II results in my raven getting jammed far less often. YMMV. -Wrayeth

I try.
I do also NPC out in Tenal on occasion, and I rarely get jammed since I carry a backup array II on my raven. Usually I just get the notification on screen that the rats are *trying* to jam me, but it rarely causes me to lose lock. 28 points of gravimetric sensor strength ftw! -Wrayeth

PS. I think I read somewhere they have a jam strength of 100 so kinda hard to stop them from jamming dontcha think?
