Please make the jamming stop, or at least put some kind of reasonable range on the damn things, something less than 100km would be nice. __________________________________________________

Its not like guristas can kill you anyway. Them jamming you just prolongs the annoyance.
They should jam you then log off for a laugh.

I was in a megathron at the time and it was a moa that was jamming me from 100km, guristas murderer I think, all their cruisers seem able to jam like hell anyway.
And my drones weren't much help and probably won't be until we have a better drone interface, like a button to make them kill something- anything that's attacking me rather than being stuck on 'orbit and look puzzled' mode, they're not much use either __________________________________________________

They don't jam you they dampin you. That's why when you turn on your sensor boosters you can target them again. They are dropping your targeting range on you so you loose the lock. Just make sure you got sensor boosters on when you attack them and you should be good.

Rubbish. It even comes up with the same 'you are already managing as many targets as your ship is currently capable of' message, that you get when you get jammed by another player.

You clearly never shot a Gurista's. It's the serpentis that dampen you, which isn't actually that meaningful plus they like to get close to you anyway so who cares...
Gurista jamming is VERY VERY annoying and the chance that they jam is quite high. Then add the fact that they jam Gallente Ships easier than other ships (because it's their natural enemy wtf according to Tomb's post wtf) and it's somewhat of a pain to rat Gurista's in a Gallente ship. I mean, Blood Raiders aren't draining more cap from Minmatar ships either are they? I usually get jammed 3-4 times per spawn depending on what's flying there. Needless to say I avoid Dire Gurista cruisers and battlecruisers altogether since I'd just end up permajammed.
So, yeh, something needs to change here...

I tried a guristas complex once, after the npc changes to test out the waters. It was a pain in the ass. I'd get jammed, be able to get a few volleys off then get jammed again. Guristas are probably the worst npc to go against right now, but considering there aren't as many scrambling npc around its not as bad as it could be. FoF missile, drone, and knowing which npc jam (kill them strait off) are probably the best approaches. But I agree there should be some limits or counters.

thats true, i've recently tried a 2/10 with a friend in a gistii harpy. he got perma jammed by 3 nullifiers and 2 anihilators. me? couldnt break the tank of a nullifier since i was jammed half the time too.
CCP has acknowledge that jamming needs balancing in PvP, but vs guristas, its pretty much "wait 55 minutes for NPCs to run out of cap/ get in a kestrel and wait for 90 minutes to break a tank with FoFs..."
btw, FoF tends to kill you rather fast in most lvl 3-4 missions...

If you have a second account that can fly support during the mission or during npcing, you'll find that stacking ECCM projectors works pretty well.

Just tank out the jamcycle and use FoF in the meantime if ya don't have patience. What ya want? Them just ejecting the loot and go away and mail ya the bounty?
First I see whines it's too hard, then the whines it's too easy again after peeps trained skills and learned new tactics, then thje rats get upgraded and the whining cycle starts again.
Adapt, overcome and then in a few ya will whine again that they are too easy.
Wanna complain abot the jamming and dampening in PvP aswell then? get a grip, if yer not up to the task then don't do it.
Better to try and fail, then to fail due to not trying |

Well, I fully agree that npc's needed some boosting; its one of the dullest things you can do. But, imo, guristas are by far the worst to go against. Fight serps, go in close under damp range, your good. Fight bloods, stay at range to avoid getting nossed, your good. Fight guristas... um wait to be able to lock. What is a good counter to guristas and can what ships take advantage of them? Drones and FoF for certain but there aren't very many ships that can do this efficiently.
I think the problem is there isn't much of a limit to npc jamming range compared to player modules (npc jamming from 100km+ wtf?...well with cruiser lvl 5 and decent skills this IS possible). Im not sure what npc effective range is but currently, things might be a little excessive. I donĘt farm guristas, these are just my opinions.
edit: minor stupidity

ACtually it is quite rediculous. I mean to be frank, I would rather they do something that can actually affect the outcome of the fight. Jamming is pointless, and as the creator noted only prolongs missions. Guristas have no chance of killing you because they jam unless your a total idiot.
Guristas Jamming has no bearing on the outcome of anything, except that missions take significantly longer, which is unfair to us Guristas NPCers. Give Guristas NOS or something usefull that will actually make the missions interesting, Hell, give em NOS and better damage output i dont care, just take the fracking annoying and pointless jamming out.
Give me a t2 bpo too for gods sake! You are stealing my hard earned cash and all i want is a fracking t2 bpo. I will bribe you if nessacary.

F.o.F's have a activation range of about 80km. Go beyond it and they wont shoot anything.
