Right, ive bin having some serious problems with the CPU usage of EVE recently. I run a half decent system, that before the latest patch to stop memory leak, was fine, but since then, no more memory probs, jst average of 90% cpu being used, after the game has been running for say an hour. This is becoming frustrating, becuase I am having to restart the game, just to get it to run properly again.. (not ideal for fleet etc.) ALso, before the most recent patch, I could dual account fine, and triple with only a bit of lag, now dual is not possible...
Below is my basic spec not going into details, but any help would be greatly appreciated..
Athlon 64 X2 FX60 OCZ 2GB RAM (2x1GB sticks) running at 3-3-2-8 Asus Board 7900 GTX 512 WD Raptor 150Gb Hdd
With a 2meg internet connection, solely running one computer.

Aren't all games supposed to use 90%+ CPU unless you limit them in some way?
I hardly ever see games that don't use max CPU.
Tried setting each account to one core?

before the patch, it used 40%.. when using 90% windows struggles, passing all other commands... Therefore considering it didnt do it before, Im guessing it shouldnt do it now.. This has also been noticed by many other people who I fly with in eve. So its not an isolated incident.
I am hoping a GM can reply here, because due to the problems with peititions atm, i have given up awaiting an answer by that method.(please note, this is not a dig at the petition system, i understand why they take so long. jst me trying to find out why im having these problems)..
Thnx.

just set the proccess priority to "less then normal" or what ever it`s called, the first below normal that should return the cpu to what ever else ur doing when eve isn`t focused ________________ I don't DO graphics, here's a sig anyway, wubwoo - Cortes lol thanks :-) |

cpu isn't my problem, after 4-5 hrs about 600-700mb of my ram gets eaten up by eve. A restart of Eve clears it up and the screen freezing stops.

I've found in most cases leaving the Rookie Help channel solves that problem.

I don't get these problems if I boot to x64, but under normal XP I do. Odd.

No, I'm quite serious. Tons of noobs report massive memory leaks that are resolved simply by leaving Rookie Help.

I run 2 copies of eve at once.. they both never use more than 50% cpu.

I've actually found it to be the opposite.. my ram gets eatten alive. If I leave EVE open for 17 afk jumps, I'll come back and find my system lagging like crazy.

I have also noted what seems to be a RAM problem, appearing recently. After leaving EvE client on for a few hours, it becomes very laggy, and starts disk thrashing.
