Originally by: Braaage When reinforced mode runs out the shields will start to recharge, when they reach 50% you can use it again as per the norm. If the hunting party come back before that and start shooting it, then because it now contains no strontium it will blow up.
Yep, you can only remote recharge the shields once it is out of reinforced mode and you can only online / offline / put more strontium in it once it has more than 50% shields.

I think you're not quite ready yet to run a pos.

Hey good idea about charging the shields from your ships. Do you keep lock on the tower after you move into the shield range or do you have to charge them from outside the shield range?
You can only lock the tower from outside the shield. The only ships that can recharge the shields of the tower from that range are Logistics Cruisers as far as I know.
Includes t1 logistics cruisers (osprey).

Originally by: GIGGLES What's worse is that you can't remove anything from the hangers or the ship array either. Normally you can remove stuff from hangers while they're offline. When it's in reinforced mode, you can't take anything out.
From the ship array, correct.
However, you can empty the corp hangar arrays without a problem (as they don't need to be online to remove stuff).

You're mistaken. I've experienced this first hand.
I believe you can now ask TRUST about this, and you'll find that, whatever you think you experienced, it isn't the way the game currently works.
You CAN take stuff out of corp hangar arrays, whilst the tower is in reinforced.

Esaam - u can just go outside the tower to get the shield display to update, that can also be done by a covert ops btw.
Also, I disagree that POS should be able to "primary" a particular ship, not because it would generally be primaried at "us", but because that would allow for a pos to be a one stop pwn-mobile, and that is bad. Very bad.

Originally by: Wee Dave I don't believe they have an exploit thread, but in every thread on this subject it has been stated by several people that it *is* an exploit and that gms have confirmed it. However no GM then confirmed it there in the thread so I'm not 100% sure.
However if I had to guess I would expect it to be an exploit. The inability to focus fire is deliberate to stop POS being impossibly destructive. I don't believe any single dread can tank the full output of a deathstar pos.
There are dreads that can do it, but their hitpoints would yo-yo.
