Im loving the faction cruiser and am currently saving to get a Rattlesnake Battleship. I hope its worth it cause I loved the Worm and am loving the Gila even more.

jsut learned to fly my gila today. i managed to get 4x HAM and 2x med nos with some tank/ab/warp to fit ok. but i have 3pds in the lows.... and i dont do as much damage as i would like....

Compared to the Moa it has more CPU. The two added launcher slots are a bonus even compared to the Eagle and its not an illogical thing to sacrifice pg for that, considering faction ships are rebalanced versions of T1. I don't find it at all weird that the Gila does not have the CPU of a T2 ship and it has some very interesting additions over your run off the mill Moa. I don't think this is an error or that the Gila is deserving of a boost tbh.

Wow, thats a fairly solid boost to the armour and shield over both of the others, and it gets a boost to agility over both of them.

Yeah it looks like they might have stealth bumped the CPU on the Gila while i was unsubscribed for 10 months. It was, according to the ship fitter of mid-2006, sitting at a measly 350 CPU. I still think adding a slot to the ship but removing power grid is lame though, should at least be the same grid.

Has anyone figured this out yet? Does the damage bonus apply to light and heavy assault missiles, or is it restricted to heavy missiles only?

I think the Gila is as ccp wants it atm since they just cleaned up at least the descriptions of bonuses...
You should be able to look it up in-game now with the correct bonuses listed.
Gila is nice over a Moa but It's not really got any edge over anything similar like Eagle or Caracal Navy Issue (basically same stats with different hi-slot layout)
